It is true but you could also take a look at it like this. Yes, removing his vocals does take a dynamic away but this song is powerful on it's own and it just goes to show you the dynamics MJ brought to the song. It's true balance , one that is unable to survive without the other.

1990. I was all of 5 years old. I didn't know what music "felt" like until hearing this song in its entirety. My only reference prior to, was from the "Moonwalker" montage. I have a lot of favorite songs, but, in my totally biased opinion as a fan of Michael Jackson since 1987, this is the greatest song ever crafted. Thanks so much for taking the time to re-tool these songs. There's so much depth in each track. This is the one i've been anticipating for a very long time. The estate should really be taking some serious notes, but they're obviously not lol. Keep doing what you're doing.

When Thriller was being produced, Carousel had been picked as the seventh track for the album. Quincy would ask to fellow musicians to demo some material. Steve Porcaro had been working on Toto's IV album when he sent a cassette with the "HN" demo on side B thinking it wasn't going to be heard by Quincy. Thanks god it did! How did you get all these different cuts? Amazing! Keep them demos coming!
