With how adamant the US people are about their imperial system, there's something deeply hilarious about an american tv show reverting to metric because it'll be easier to calculate the experimental results...

Canadian here. Love the metric system; definitely easier. However, I find myself dealing with the imperial system when doing renovations. Luckily, I'm fluent with both systems.

Now i love mythbusters, i really do. But sometimes it is hilarious on accident. „Let‘s do scale testing to come up with an equation of what materials to use and how to build this thing“. Now, i‘m not an… well i actually am an engineer and what you are looking for here is a book on entrance level physics, a book on material science, a book on machine elements and a book on technical mechanics. And what you will find is that all said equations exist. I know right, crazy 😂

Here in the UK, i find the best slingshots (catapults), are the type with the wrist brace. Keeps wrist locked and can use more power accurately.

Yes. I'm sure the myth involved Canadians trying to illegally cross the longest undefended border in the world with a slingshot to get over a fence that doesn't exist.

Sometimes I just doubt the common sense of anybody (ir)responsible on the show. MB: "Oh gee, I sure hope we don't hit the blue van!" Only sane person around: "Why don't you just move the entire rig like, 10feet to the left? Or turn it by like 30°, there's a perfectly fine empty field right next to the blue van.." MB: ".... SCIENCE DEMANDS SACRIFICES!" *fires away*
