In some cases, people around us who are obsessed with control belittle our abilities and achievements to maintain their dominance. They undermine our self-perception with their behavior and damage our public image out of fear of losing control. Due to that, Imposter syndrome can occur because we doubt ourselves and our success, regardless of how evident it may be. This can lead us to lose authenticity regarding our true selves and how we perceive ourselves as well as how others perceive us.

Sure, it happens quite evry time I start a new project, feeling I won't be able (not capable) to reach the targets and objectives. But I've learned, now, to self reply by listing all previous similar situations, when I thought I was an impostor but, depsite of this belief, I succeeded in achieving result... a good self story telling is very helpful in such situations

Hello Mr. Gregory, I have felt it many times. People appreciate me but, I really don't know how to take it. I am changing a bit nowadays. I started to appreciate myself for every small thing I do, but my mind pops in and try to take control. I am giving my best to handle.....and thank you for sharing this knowledge. I am from India and I am also posting information about brain that I know. Thank you !
