Appreciate the fact you smudge first. That’s respectful and spiritually cleansing. If you are showing that you only take what you need each Harvest that’s good in my view as well. Definitely a process improvement on top of grass fed/grass finished. Some things are moving in the right direction. Thanks for sharing.

Wow I finally found an amazing company that has the balls to show the public exactly how the slaughter process goes, this is the only meat I buy knowing it came from a good source 👍👍

Wow what a novel concept--treating animals in a humane way--like they're actually living things and not just a commodity. Respect! This company seems awesome and I will be buying meat from them. Let's spread this. We can all support humane animal harvesting as it should be! Thanks Wild Idea!

The love and respect you show your herd is absolutely beautiful to watch. This brought tears to my eyes because I firmly believe animals that give us life are to be honored, and you gentlemen have done all that and more. Thank you for being such wonderful stewards of the land and that glorious herd. I WILL be buying my buffalo meat off you folks.

While I have tried several times in my life to not eat meat, and hence, not be part of the killing of sweet creatures for sustenance, I fail to feel well when I do this. In searching for healthy meat, I stumbled upon your company. I am beyond impressed that you made this video sharing with people what actually goes into taking a creature from breathing on it's on in a pasture to a piece of meat on your table. It was a very well-done video and I applaud your efforts to show the respect for the beings that you raise and provide to us. Thank you so much.
I agree with 1990Zacharia! I am switching to this company for ALL future orders solely based on this video. I can't wait to start winning all of the chili cook offs.

That took a lot of Sack/Balls showing your harvesting technique. I have been ordering Bison Meat from another company and just found you guys. Because of this Vid you have earned a customer so don't let me down with this video being fake or your product being sub-standard. You guys do it just like we used to harvest Beef. One shot, Bam, no stress = Better Meat. Back in the day (1970's) we had a guy that would walk up to the animal, talk soothingly to it, pull out a .45 ACP and one shot to the brain. Sounds cold but he was just doing his job which was supplying food to the community. He was also a master butcher, so he took care of the animal from start to finish.

No fooling here - we take a great deal of pride in our transparency, most especially with how we raise our animals. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and we look forward to being your new bison meat provider.

Great that you address this on your site and made this video. I had talked with you on the phone about this before our first order. We will stick with you for many reasons. Cheers from Ventura. 😊💥💥👊

I just finished your book and enjoyed it and learned a lot and hope to enjoy some of your product soon. city-slicker question: why don't they flee or circle or take any kind of defensive posture after the shot?

Respectful and humane, this is how all food animals should be killed, in their pasture, stress free by an absolute expert shot. I am so impressed and grateful, thank-you for your integrity and for the beautiful lives these animals live, I will be recommending you to all my friends

No stress, no gates, no pens no trailers. The rest of the herd barely reacted. That rifle shell is a lot more affordable than thousands of dollars in chutes and pens. And safer for the handlers too. Any info on the companies with the mobile butcher trailer?

Hi there - there are similar units that can be “ordered” basically through a company named Cattle Crate - if they are still in business (out of Columbus NE). And there's a possibility of a manufacturer in Washington State.

Where is your aiming point for a clean humane kill and caliber of rifle used?

Hi Dan - Aiming points: forehead and behind ear. Caliber .308 with 168 grain copper slug.

I respect what you guys do. When I see buffalo burger in the market it's always 10% fat,… any grass fed Buffalo of higher fat percentage available?
@wildideabuffalo3 жыл бұрын
Hi there - thank you for your comment - we appreciate it. For higher fat content, we do have a Keto Burger that is 80/20 but on average our buffalo is 95% lean - simply raised on water, grass & sunshine. 😊

Not judging, but why do you stab it in the chest? Wasn't it already dead from the shot?
@wildideabuffalo5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ana - thanks for your question. A cut is made (not stabbing) to artery to start the bleeding process. This is important for food safety and flavor.
@tehs3raph1m4 жыл бұрын
@@wildideabuffalo it's dead, but you need to drain the blood before it congeals in the veins so you get the cut in early? Or it's stunned and your going to bleed it out like a traditional abattoir setting?

This is really the ideal. As stress-free life and death as possible. Too bad it's such a rarity in the meat industry.
