Humanity encounters an alien species called the Draconians, who were originally misinterpreted as peaceful. However, when the Draconian ship is discovered, the human ambassadors choose to handle the situation differently. They demonstrated their force and ultimately their willingness to make peace by fighting. This move changes the Draconians' view of the Humans, and they realize that the Humans are a species with both a willingness to make peace and a fighting spirit, leading to a new alliance.
