"More I hide myself more Humans of NY grow, i'm only a storyteller" Brandon, the guy, who's showing the world the powerful gift of talking with the human souls.

I think this is an interview everyone who uses social media should watch. When you were discussing how to remove yourself from what you create (or at least how you position it when publishing) so that the message can stand on its own, I really resonated with it. Thanks so much for what you both do.

With respect, it works for his niche because he's simply not the rockstar in it - so it's the obvious step not to interrupt the feed of heartwarming stories to post a snap of what he's eating for dinner. If you're a musician/actor type, there's literally zero way to become successful without making it about you - it *has* to be about you.

Such a humble guy! Very interesting to see his vision and being strategic about it as well. Perhaps he sees it as therapy for the people, i see it more that he brings the best out of them by asking questions that goes straight through the core using his curiosity. It's a powerful connection between this interaction. WOW! Really grateful for this interview, thank you Chase and Brandon.

31:00 We are engaged w/ HONY despite the billions of other stories being told on FB b/c we are all seeking validation from each other of the human experience in all it's glory and all its imperfection.

This conversation made me question certain aspects of my life. It especially made me question the reasons for why I post on social media. Most of the time it is probably to say "Hey, look at me." I hope more people see this

Does anyone know how Brandon records the stories of the people he meets? Does he use a audio recorder, and then type them out on the post?

I know that Brandon doesn't really care about inspiring other photographers. There is a lot of beauty in his passion though and it does inspire artists around the world. Here is a local Vancouver project that is similar to HONY: facebook.com/vancouvervibes.ca Thank you Brandon and Chase! This interview made me get my camera out and go get my 4 stories after work. :)

Where are the views for this great series? I guess people would rather watch a lady laughing in a Chewbacca mask.

Agreed, I'm amazed at how many people haven't seen these. I keep telling people about them and they say "these are too long, I can't watch that" yet they'll go home and watch two episodes of Real Housewives amounting to the same amount of time...

+Marché des Lices - tales and recipes of our Breton life I felt like all of his answers where the same for the most part. Or chase was asking him questions that he didn't understand I don't know? I love his work and I really love this series but yeah this one could be the most anticipated but definitely not the best interview!

instead of audience you could say the people whose energies flow into your work. which wouldn't be a complete with out them.

brandon doesn't show it, but he must be so tired of talking about his story. I can't imagine how many times he's had to repeat himself in countless speeches and interviews.
