Why Kosem seldomly curtsy to Handan? She less respect to mother Sultan. Her husband mom. Unlike Hurrem she curtsy to whoever ranked higher than her even they treated Hurrem bad.

This is because, at the time Hurrem became Haseki, the power resided with the Sultan's blood. In reality, Suleyman and Hurrem married after his mother's death so that Hurrem would not outrank her. That's how much they respected her. They never had the drama the show portrayed. She aided with politics and joined the divan, too. By the time Kosem arrived, power shifted to the wife of the Sultan. The show is now allowing the portrayal of history's truth. Kosem would be known to the outside world with the rank of Empresses and Queens. The Harem now played politics openly. IF her power is diminished here, enemies would come sensing a lack of control and instability from the country and its leaders. The series with Hurrem shows how often Suleiman left on campaigns. His wars kept enemies away. They knew he was dangerous and ready for war. That's how the show balanced out Hurrem's magical lack of power. In Kosem's series, we do witness some parts of the beginning of the fall of MANY empires. That is, the introduction of more modern warfare and mass production of them. It is here that highlights some issues of why their military and country suffered to the point that their monarchy fell. Especially to do with the Jannissaries. We also see the issues with the power play and princes' survival causing so many civil issues and the part it plays in ruling. Although the decision not to kill Sehzade is finally implemented. 🙌 The way it moves away from campaigns is like the view of where the nation's priorities shifted. Anyways.. I went on a tangent there. Sorry It's the potrayal of power

Do not like these series and Kosem as a charakter, actress acting is olso artificial. Except her physical beauty she lacks depth unfortunately in this movie
