The main reason Soto fought Bobby is to try to get Manny in the ring. During this time, Manny was fighting pointless fights against a smaller Larios, a 3rd fight with Morales and Solis (who soto was dominating in their fight before it ended prematurely due to a cut). After the fight, Manny actually told Arum that he wanted to face Soto in order to avenge his brother's loss, but then suddenly backed down and decided to take another pointless rematch against an older Barrera coming off a loss.

Guzman wasn't landing at will. He was pot shotting the entire night and running the rest. Sure, he's fast and has good skills, but it was far from a blowout. As a matter of fact, The Associated Press scored it a draw. They're unbiased, unlike the judges.

Soto is a better boxer than Guzman, no question. Guzman hasn't fought in a year also, so that inactivity will hurt him. Soto has fought 3 times in '07 and Guzman hasn't fought once!! If you don't think that makes any difference, you're nuts. Soto is one of the most technically sound boxers in the fighting game right now and he sets up his punches fantastically. No way can Guzman dance 12 rounds to a victory. Guzman is getting KO'd on Sat.

Guzman does have the quicker hands, but he has no power and he like to go toe 2 toe. Soto is a little bit slower but he makes it up with technique. He throws straighter shots right down the middle. I don't see Guzman going 12 rounds, unless he runs all night long. Soto will win Garadamteed.

There was obviou bias by the judges because no way were those scorecards accurate. And, the punch stats were BS as well. No way did Guzman land 100+ more punches than Soto-no way. Judges were in Guzman's promoters pocketbook for this one.
