Humble Choice July 2023 Review -Two major headliners

Hope everyone enjoys the video. I will say my opinion on Shotgun King has continued to improved after writing/playing/and then playing it even more. Definitely check that game out! It's quickly becoming a new favorite for me!

This one seems like a good month granted it’s all a matter of taste but considering the ones we were getting at the end of last year/start of this year this is an improvement.

Fantastic month for me! I've been meaning to play Outer World's for a while now and I'm a big fan of Pokemon so TemTem is a great addition. But past the headliner titles, Roadwarden has been a delight to play through. I tend of skip over most of the indie titles that come in Humble Choice but this has been a very refreshing experience.

Lol. See I know Roadwarden would have it's audience, it's so hard for me to be truly negative on that game, Don't sleep on Shotgun King though! that one is an absolute joy.

Yeah, if they deliver months like this, I'd be quite happy with the service, but the two expensive headliners certainly help the value.

Supposedly TemTem's online benefits come into play w/ its end/postgame content. One of their best bundles imo, thank you for reviewing the lesser known titles and tempering my expectations for Outer Worlds.

Yikes. Seems like my predictions were wrong on all front with the Outer Worlds. Had a sneaking suspicion that Yakuza 4 would make the top just knowing you're love of the franchise. I really need to get around to playing it. I found this bundle to be really good this month. Thinking it's probably the best bundle so far, but we still have about half a year left so we'll see. Great review, man!

Apparently yakuza 4 has spoilers for the previous games so I've not played it yet since I'm currently playing through yakuza zero. I would recommend starting with zero as well

This is true, another reason to wait until you reach that point in the story. (Though technically it was released before zero, so the few that touch both games are fine)

You were quick this time around. I will watch this after I've checked the games out for myself. I had Temtem and Kraken Academy in my wishlist. Yakuza 4 I finished on PS3 a few years ago.

I would have had the same, but I already got Kraken earlier this year. TemTem I'd been holding out for the longest time because "Humble's going to eventually put it in the bundle... right?" 3 years later, I was correct.

Love the video! This was a must get bundle for me, even with me having already bought and played Outer Worlds and Kraken Academy beforehand. TemTem is a game I've been curious about for years now, so glad I can try it out here, and Yakuza 4 is one I know I'll get to eventually (still gotta play Kiwami 2 sometime first XD). It's a shame that Shotgun King relies on the assumption that the player knows chess already. I do get it, since it's already so well known, but as someone who doesn't know chess, it does pretty much kill any chance of me checking it out. Great reviews as always, thank you so much for these humble choice videos!

To be fair, chess rules are very simple. It's a matter of 5 minutes to learn what each piece does, and that's it.

@@TheOrian34 A very good point! I did end up downloading it and giving it a try. I suck at it, but was able to play it a little and it was a pretty neat concept, even if I'm not the target audience or someone who would want to put a ton of time into it. Glad I gave it a shot though!

Great review, mate. I got the bundle mostly because of promotion: got 3 humble choice bundles for 5 euros each, but I'm happy with game variety. Yakuza 4 is awesome, played it long time ago on PS3, have it in remaster collection for PS4. Highly recommend everyone to check it out. Also, nice to get Outer Worlds full remater edition for such a cheap price despite negative reviews on steam.

2:04 with how popular pokemon is I’m surprised there have not been more copy’s and oddly there have been no AAA versions come out, I own 2 versions of non-pokemon and both of them just don’t stack up I mean come ok devs how hard can it be to copy pokemon you do t with other genres.

shotgun king is barely a chess game, just within the framework of a chess style but you only have a king and the enemy pieces move multiple at the same time, hard to call it chess at that point.

Weak month honestly, but great video! Roadwarden is actually the one I'm interested in the most, I think it would be a good palette cleanser for the plethora of action games I've been playing lately.

Are you enjoying God of War? I’ve been looking at it for a while now and with the sales going on it looks extra interesting.

I enjoyed it immensely. It's a long game, but the writing and the animations really elevated the script. The new voice actor for Kratos really gave his character a lot of meaningful depth. Though I did come into it as a dad, and I definitely think this was more focused on the parental relationship than anything. Combat was solid, the few boss encounters the game had felt epic, and I just kept wanting to go on even with the massive length. I honestly might say it's one of the best games I ever played, at least in recent years. So yeah. It was alright... ;)

I really liked the outer worlds. I've never played a fallout game though so that might affect my opinion.

You get every game in the list now. There was a point where they had different tiers, but now everyone who buys it gets all 8 titles, no choice required. (Yes it's a strange name)

Tem Tem has to be online to keep it a serious, lasting game. pokemon is more for kids and cheating offline is too easy.
