Hi Marie think there may be a typo in their formula %. if you are making less than 300 g then the water component should be 61.50% not 65%. The grams are right just not % if using to calculate a different total quantity to make (I only know as did a spreadsheet to make 100 g to play with figures didnt line up) - Perhaps check with them as I may be wrong. Cheers

Love the sound of this product and as I am imagining the scent profile, I do have one question re; discoloration due to the fo? Any thoughts on what that might look like since it does list the vanilla content at 1.80%. Thanks!
@HumblebeeAndMe
@HumblebeeAndMe 2 жыл бұрын
I don't notice gradual discolouration from vanilla content in non-soap formulations, and haven't noticed any with this formulation in particular.

Hi Marie regarding Substitutions can I use Liquid Germall Plus instead of the one listed by Bramble Berry ? I have the rest of the ingredients except Oat Oil which I think Rice Bran Oil would be an ok substitution? Would rather use ingredients I have in stock before purchasing new ones. Also Aloe Vera I only have 1X liquid not 10X so how much would i Need to use to get similar result? Or I have powder (200:1) which I havent used yet so how would I make similar amount to get the same as their 10X Aloe Vera product used in this a formula? Many thanks for your advice. Cheers - Sandra

I love this idea! Is there a way that I can change surfactants and make it a shampoo or gentle pre-shampoo?
@HumblebeeAndMe
@HumblebeeAndMe 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That's a pretty big "it depends"-mostly on your hair + what you're looking to achieve from a pre-shampoo treatment. I probably wouldn't start here for my hair; I'd look towards the cleansing conditioner formulations I've shared in the past, or my Silky Volumizing Shampoo. I'd also recommend checking out the "Super Simple Creamy Hair Conditioner with BTMS-25: 3 Ways" I shared last week. You can find all that by using the search function here: www.humblebeeandme.com/search. Happy making!

Hi Marie wanted to ask that is this formulation works well in hot weathers? Thanks for the vedio. Surprise of the day❤loved it 💖
@HumblebeeAndMe
@HumblebeeAndMe 2 жыл бұрын
I can't see why it wouldn't :) It won't melt it hot climates like a body butter could. You may find it a bit rich for a leave-on lotion if you live somewhere very hot and humid (though that's very personal!), but it will work wonderfully as a cleanser. Happy making!

Thanks for watching! I won't be developing anything that chemically alters the hair that much; the chance of ruining someone's hair is not one I am willing to take.

Hi! I just wanna ask because I don't understand how a cream or a lotion can be at the same time a cleanser?? I've been looking to the formula for 10min now and I don't get it. It is a simply cream formula, then, any moisturizing cream can be use as a cleanser aswell?? It doesn't even contain any betaine, SCI or any other surfactants that make it clean. Can someone explain me, please?? Thanks a lot!! I love your chanell and I am learning a lot with you, but being a self-taught is sometimes a bit difficoult :)
@HumblebeeAndMe

Give this a read to learn more : www.humblebeeandme.com/rose-honey-rich-cream-cleanser/ :) The TL;DR is that the emulsifier is a surfactant, and yes, any oil-in-water emulsion cream could potentially work as a cleanser. Happy making!

It works wonderfully for foundation, sunscreen, blush, concealer, bronzer, etc. but I would use a cleansing balm or oil first if you need to remove long-wearing eyeliner and waterproof mascara. I like this formulation: www.humblebeeandme.com/soft-velvet-cleansing-oil/. Happy making!

Please add the colloidal oats to the water phase NOT the oil phase, or at the end! If not, your cleanser will come out a gloppy gummy mess!!

It does contain cleansing properties, though! If you've ever used a cleansing oil or cleansing balm-it's like that. Lather ≠ cleansing :)
