Loved this video as I booked a day with a Manthey Racing 911 GT2RS Club Sport at Red Bull Ring on October 7 during the Porsche Track Experiences GT Racecar Trackday that they run for Porsche. Not many videos of laps in this car as opposed to the far more common GT3 Cup car. Great driving! You are the best advertising for Manthey Racing.

I have a Mazda Miata track car and a full day if you include transporting it the at least the 150 miles to the track and all the consumables wear is an absolute bargain! I do appreciate the exotics race rentals of various companies. Gets you a feel for what it can do without breaking the bank. I rented a Nissan GT-R in Vegas for 7 laps at their track for 350 dollars. Now I'm headed to the ring in May. ;)

@W0o0dy to be honest I would rather it was an old air cooled unit with 250bhp ish and making that wonderful noise. Plus I think that would be enough horsepower to have fun with given good aero... only downside is the old air cooled 911's cost so much now 😒

Idk, but i think if we remove th GT3s from the 24h Nordschliefe Race and let the GT2s race with their full Power it would provide even better Racing than those GT3 Aero Monsters and it could be safer bc those cars aren´t so extremly faster then others in the twisty sections of the track ANd we could see some real straight line speed at the Dötti again - would love to see that

That's not a radar, it's a G meter. It visualizes the inertia of the car. When the car goes left you can see the dot goes to the right as inertia implies it wants stay in the former motion.

Misha, when are you going to drive the Australian Holden / HSV or Vauxhall cars in england, some have over 650hp and even upto 1,000 hp, plus would love to see the 2024 C8 corvette ZL1 package with over 650hp even the C8 corvette at the nuremberg track witht he 550hp version and brembo brakes Mag ride version 3 etc etc, also the best car in the world is the Holden HSV W1, with the LS9 6 speed manual and pirelli trofeo r tyres etc, its made for the track and i wonder how you would go on our famous Bathurst track, with any of our dedicated race cars like the mustang or the camaro with around 650hp and dunlop super sticky race dedicated tyres, the lap record is around 2:03:00 i wonder if you can even do a 2:10:00 at least ? cheers 👍👍🦘🦘✌✌

@@Toad666 "clueless" is kinda harsh, but unfortunately accurate. I have very little experience. I should not have implied that this or any GP track is boring. Any racing is unbelievably exhilarating and challenging. I was just giving a comparison of the long, wild, unforgiving, and frightening Ring to the short, manicured, wide, and safe confines of a GP track. Like a conversation I had with racing legend Jan Nilsson a few years ago, he said to me, "...this track (Ring) scares the shit out of me."

Leave it alone it's a classic now, no way can it keep up with newer models, maybe the suspension was soft, the exhaust had to be opened up more, maybe, so it wud be better to get an Audi R8 V10, but it may also depend on the type of track to.

OMG. Porsche and their acolytes know how to milk customers. GT2! RS! M/R! Manthey Racing, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! I have three Porsches (1992/964 RSR turbo, 2018 GT3 (manual), and a 2024 Cayenne Turbo GT). So I know Porsche is a, "solid," car company. But on the track, I race a Trans Am GT1 Corvette. This car has 830 hp and no, "nannies." In a Trans Am car, if you are fast you will earn it. Porsche is a technology company that makes average drivers feel like Walter Rohr...for a price.
