It was a good video for Arccaptain. You demonstrated that a beginner can make some basic welds for a small project without investing a ton of time or money. Their welder was less expensive than I thought.

Neat little welder for free Dalton. You’ll master it for sure. Just get a lot of scraps and go to it. When I started welding I had awesome blob welds. I had a stick welder and my shop was next to a real welder who had been in business for 50+ years. He would always come in my shop and give me crap about my welds. 😀 It was good I retired being able to make nice semi smooth blobs I was proud of. 😀🤣👍👍

My dad wound say that "It looks like a bull's butt sewn up with barb wire. It ain't pretty but it's strong." And that's all that matters. It looks like a great solution to the problem and you did it using a welder for the first time ever. I'm impressed. And one more thing, you made it very clear that you were telling us about your thoughts on the mini excavator. You made it clear that you were not an expert, and you were only saying what your first impressions of the machine were.

Owner manuals and instructions are truly useful and should be read or at least read the warnings. Someone spent a great deal of time writing that manual. I think women appreciate them when men don't. I read owners manuals and follow instructions, unlike my husband. Therefore we do not fix things or put things together "together" unless I need muscle. I do really like your videos.😊

Now I have a Harbor freight cheapo mig? welder, have not used it yet bought the auto darkening helmet and a respirator, just nervous as hell to try it but soon I will need to use it for a diy pedal for operating the blade.

Welding is just about the handiest skill you can pick up. With today's inexpensive wire feed welders, anyone can become a passable fabricator. You'll be surprised how fast you improve your skills. Next, get them to send you a plasma cutter, and you can build anything. I was self-taught 50 yrs ago. In a few days of practice, I was assembling truck utility bodies. The best way to learn is to do.
