The essayist is an Israeli public intellectual and historian who is also known for being the professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has authored multiple literatures including 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (2018), Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (2016) and Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (2014).

Similarly, Chinese claim that the history began with Yellow Emperor, Xia (the first dynasty established by Yu the Great) and Shang dynasties. They claim that other civilizations like Indians, Muslims or Westerners have copied the original Chinese inventions.
On the other hand, Hindu claims to have the invention of airplanes and nuclear bombs by their ancient sages before Plato (427 BC-347 BC) and Confucius (551 BC-479 BC). They believe that their sage Bhardwaj was the inventor of rockets and aero planes, missiles was invented by Vishwamitra and the atomic theory was discovered originally by Acharya Kanad. The nuclear weapons are even described in the epic Mahabharata.
Likewise, all the Muslims around the world believe that their Prophet Muhammad to be pioneer of History. They believe that all kind of history revolves round the whole Muslim community. Egyptian, Iranian and Turkish have a point that they are the real preserver of the purity of Islam.
Jews also have their own point making them be the major contributor in the world history. They believe that they have discovered several ideologies of the world. They came with the idea of monotheism and claim as the center of the world.
