I am out in Martinez Ca....fishing the delta and SF Bay along with some Sierra Lakes. How were the base maps? I used to have a Lowrance and do not want to go back there so Humminbird is too of list.

Just bought a Helix7 mdi 3gnfor my bow and a Helix7 msi 3gn for console. My mega down imaging for both units is TERRIBLE. What can I do to sharpen up the images?

just got the HELIX 7 CHIRP GPS G3. Do i need another transducer for down imaging? Only able to see Sonar on mine right now. Are there different models for Down imaging/side, or is that just a transducer change or what? Little new to this stuff.

Yes there are three different models you bought the one that only does sonar chirp the other model is the down Imaging Mega that does sonar chirp and mega down image then there's the Side Imaging Mega that does Side Imaging down Imaging and Chirp sonar if you did not open your box you can return it the one you bought only does chirp sonar and mapping

I should be getting the helix 7 G3N all season bundle delivered soon. Is the head unit same as yours? Is my unit capable of down imaging for summer fishing? Or do I need to buy a MEGA down imaging specific Helix 7? I’m basically a beginner when it comes to electronics

New to hummingbird....just bought the helix 7 si g3 and not many videos out there on them. Do the g3's have the "quick favorite views" ? I watched a video of a g2 that had the 3 buttons

Unfortunately not but you do have the option to view or disable any views u want or do not need.When u go up to 9 inch screens then you have 3 quick pre sets congrats on the New bird👍

I’d check out the 8” GN3 Mega+. It’s new for this year, and I can’t tell you everything about it cuz I’m no expert, but I do know it has the 3 presets your looking for. Not much info on it yet cuz most don’t know it exist but HBird does incredible customer service and walked me through everything about it. Bass Monkey sold me on going HBird so props to him!

Does anyone else find the screen on the Helix 7 getting hot to the touch with use. Humminbird says not normal but no idea why???

I just love how people ask for someone's settings. When it only works for the body of water at the time your on it. Your always going to need to adjust it. These videos are good for showing people which settings to make adjustments to dial in the unit. And they can learn to do it afterwards.

It is the ducer that came with it but u can call humminbird and exchane for tge troll ducer if u want free of charge just dont use it or u noll in void exchange hit THE sub😂🦍

Whether helix 7 g3n supports follow contour?? I tried with an i pilot link go with cursor to the contour and push -go to- but it dont give to me option follow the contour....

Thanks TJO biggest suprise is i no longer need clear mode when less than 10 ft, im sure there will be times when theres lots of debri in the water and i do need it, another thing that suprised me was how crisp the unit displays arches with good target seperation, H BIRD is heading a good direction, for me i have to have the lakemaster charts especially how ca goes thru droughts any way thanks for stopping bye and sharring👍

Can I hook up my helix 7 to my Min Kota Terrova sonar transducer on the trolling motor and have a transducer installed in back on my transome?

Yea with a us2 adapter but u will not have chirp just traditional 2d sonar no imaging if using built in transducer on troll best bet is to call humminbird 1800 number and talk live to agent🦍

Very similar 4 me lakemaster mapping is better. 2d chirp sonar about the same Lowrance has touch screen but as far as down and side imagery humminbird is better ,lowrance has better split screens there about the same in my opinion but humminbird is much clearer either way you cant go wrong humminbird has better customers support they will send you a new unit if something goes wrong if under warrenty 4 me im humminbird all day 👍

Just got my helix 7 with mega si and di I stalked and will not let me change the si color wouldn’t happen to know why ?

Try going to settings and doing the factory reset.

Lake masters chip shows you every contour 10000 times better when your lake goes up or down you can re draw the map /lake with lake level offset base maps are buns boo boo make sure u go on lakemasters website for your region and make sure yours lakes are mapped out u can call or google lake masters for instance i live in ca so i used the lake masters west chip it has a list of all my lakes i fish

I don’t know what’s I did wrong, but my down imaging and sonars are not clear as your in the video? Could you me any tips to fix it? Like how to place your transducer?? ( under, in the midlle or above the bottom of the boat). Should I level my transducer parallel with the boat or the water line?
