I remember when our family moved from Penna to Portsmouth, Virginia in the 60's we attended this HOP. In the 70's my brother now Gospel Violinist Roland L Sunkins stared this band to this day my brother is a honorary Dr. & Minister of music still a music teacher a little over 30 yrs. My brothers Bradley & Tim played with band as well our mother the late Bessie Sunkins was a band booster! Before they started this band my father was a one man band the late Roland L Sunkins Jr. He played the piano, a 16 string Hawaiian guitar he made that guitar talk! So many memories!
