Here is the recipe so you don't have to wander for it 2 Cups of chickpeas 4Tbsp tahini Juice from 2 lemons 4Tbsp ice water (more or less depending on your thickness preference) 6 Garlic confit cloves (or 2 cloves raw garlic) 3Tbsp garlic oil (or olive oil) Salt (add 1tsp then keep adding to preffered salty level)

THIS chef is a gem. I adore his style. As for the hummus, I had no idea people mispronounced it until I saw a couple of American "Lives" where chefs slaughtered the pronounciation. I understand the gratitude expressed here by those of us glad to hear it RIGHT. lol ... and yes, I am American too, but have lived in Europe for 25 years. When people scoff at me correcting their pronounciations of the foreign words and think I am making an unnecessary 'big deal' -- those people need to think how annoying it would be to have someone insist on mispronouncing THEIR names... and constantly. LOL This hummus recipe is fabulous btw. DO try it. It is so authentic and just perfect. The addiition of cayenne and/or cumin suggested by someone above is also fantastic in it. This guy is go nice to watch !!!

The effort in the pronunciation of Hummus is very much appreciated and respected. When people pronounce it Humis it the equivalent of pronouncing Guacamole like Whak a mole or a Fajita with a strong J. Your pronunciation shows care and respect to the culture and food even if its not perfect its appreciated. Ps i know people have trouble pronouncing that and other foreign words that use letters that dont exist in other languages but just getting the beat right is super appreciated. 😊

@@pooddescrewch8718It's really not. Trying to match the original pronunciation of a word from a foreign language is a sign of respect towards that culture. I'll always have more respect for people who make an effort to show appreciation than towards people who just dismiss the efforts of people trying to be respectful. I guess you're just incapable of doing the bare minimum, that's why you can't stand people trying their best.
