Hi Gaurav, My husband has skilled worker visa, working with NHS. I'm his dependent also working with NHS. We have 7 month old baby on a dependent visa as well. Our extension is due in January 2025. Will this 38700 rule also impact us on our extention/renewal as we will need 2 year more for ILR. REGARDS

I know it's sad but please explore other options in Europe, the UK isn't worth it anymore. Changing laws every month, wait until elections they'll go even harder on us. I'm going next week, not wasting my time/money here anymore until things settle down.

First you need to apply for citizenship. Which is lot easier then ILR . Once you have citizenship you need to submit your Indian passport and apply passport process is easy.

Don’t think so.. as long as you fulfil other requirements for skilled worker dependent visa.. you already have skilled worker visa and the salary threshold would be applied to you when you extend your visa! However I would recommend to go through Gov.UK website once it’s updated

if the spouse is already in the UK and in your scenario don’t think you’ll any problem.. just complete the 5 yrs and apply for ILR

Just a good piece of advice, try not to join the NHS. You'll thank me later because every GP, nurse even drivers are underpaid and overworked. Every month they had to go for a strike to ask for a raise but nothing happened for 7 years. Apply for Australia or any other European/Middle East country. Use your degree wisely.

@@SuperZupp Not much different. It's all under NHS, which is heavily under cut budget. Salaries are low, expenses are too high, you'll end up with small savings wasting atleast 5-8 years. When given a choice between Passport and money, always choose money. I've lived here for 3 yrs, now moving to Dubai. Think wisely. Best of luck
