Hayat (Yumna Zaidi) is a young girl whose mother has died and father deserted her at a young age, who lives alone in a house and has financial issues, but even that does not dampen her spirits. Instead, she is always in a good mood and adds life to her surrounding. Zaki (Ahmed Ali), wants to be a chef and marry Nida ( Anum Ahmed) who is a model by profession. His father, however, is not at all in favour of this union and forbids his son to take this step.

Zaki exactly knew why Hayat lied using Hassan's name. He shouldn't have dragged Hassan's in his mess because *ZAKI was the one* who was confused between two girls. And I'm horrified how the comment section is applauding Zaki's terrible action. Just WHAT will he gain from this? He's already in an unhappy relationship- he should've just let Hayat move on and find her new love. Terrible character

I don't agree with you entirely. Because didn't hayat do something similar? Hayat knew that zaki was not in love with Nida. And that perhaps he had never loved her. Their relationship was one borne out of dependency. Zaki explained the entire thing to her. Im not saying hayat should have abandoned her sister and said yes to zaki's proposal. But at the very least she should have left zaki and Nida alone to solve their issues. But instead she forces an engagement on zaki. What was she hoping to achieve by that? Didn't she realize this would only result in an unhappy marriage? Hayat should have sat down with both zaki and nida. The three of them should have had an open discussion. That would have been a mature decision. Instead she forces zaki to get engaged right after he has had his heart broken by her. Then she continues to lie even though her lie has been caught. What Zaki is doing right now is a reaction. Both of them are wrong. But this show is striking in its grey characters. That's what makes it shine. No one is black or white. Also the show makes it very clear that zaki wasn't confused between two girls. He was with Nida to heal and help her and to prevent her from self destruction. He convinced himself that it was love so that he could go through with it. But when he meets hayat he knows that he has never loved nida. Only been her friend. Zaki is very clear in his mind on that

Altho we all want Zaki to be with Hayat, he does not deserve her. He has been perpetually confused, and is now now confusing a completely innocent person Hassan - adding to the confusion, in an effort to corner Hayat. He is wrongfully engaged to Nida because he was too much of a coward to back down. Because he is the hero of this play we like him, but in reality these types of people are villains: he is a spoilt, fickle bargar, who does not even deserve the chalak cunning Nida.
