I totally agree with your title Rabia, this book definitely has the power to change you...and I've witnessed it myself. I've listened to the audiobook of Peer-e-kamil recently and it changed my perspective on various levels. There were a few moments which I can't even describe how I felt. There were moments where I felt something I had never felt before...it's just indescribable. Peer-e-kamil took me closer to Allah. And Salaar ufff ❤ He made me cry my heart out, every time he cried in the I too cried with him, he is such an inspirational character. Imama was great but it's more about Salaar's journey.

Rabia, i think the re read this time made you hit more because you have now read Abe hayaat. Peere Kaamil and Abe Hayaat makes a complete circle. I had this similar experience, The events that occurred in Peere Kamil makes complete sense and also shows the hidden depth when you read Abe hayaat and vice versa. Also i think If a larger part of Peere Kaamil has been about Salaar, Abe Hayaat was more about Imama, her journey. The way her life changes, how she adjusts to her problems they have in latter life. A comple full circle, I think i can never stop talking about these two books 😭 I feel so greatful to Allah that Writers like Umera Ahmed exits. I absolutely adore how well she writes, she hits the right chords needed for the heart to make us ponder on ourselves and improve❤

I started reading urdu novels with JKP as my first novel being a boy which was recommended by my teacher. I took monthss to read it but it was a wonderful journey. Then I read Peer e kamil and then on and on of umerah and nemrah. Currently I'm reading Namal. People around me get shocked when they see me reading them ' larke bhi novels parhte hain??' But I believe that it's equally important and helpful for boys reading these novels with such beautiful concepts . Obviously no one can be like salaar or jihan but I try to opt those habits and qualities those characters possess. And I really wish I can get a life partner like haya and Imama. Also , especially nemrah ahmad's novels teach you self love and being self sufficient

You are absolutely right, I read this novel 16 years ago when I was in my post graduation, now after 15 years I listen again with my 14 years old daughter, I must say this time it hits me so deep n hard, even my daughter loves it a lot, I make dua that my daughter will get the life partner like salaaar In Sha Allah, then my daughter said that instead of this you make dua that Allah make me like Imama ❤️ You can imagine the level of my happiness, if girls wants men like salaar thn they need to be Imama first. Thank you so much for talking on this Rabia, you are a kind soul.

What I learnt from Peer e kamil: salar sikandar jaisa saleh life partner paane ke liye imama hashim bnna zarori hai! 💗✨ Vo imama hashim jisne Allah or oske Nabi ke muhabbat ke liye apni luxury life chod di, apna zindagi ka sbse bda khawab doctor bnne ka khawab chod diya,! Nd my love for salar is>>>3 💗it's not just a character for me! I will never forget marghala hill wala scene , nd vo tawaif ke kothe pr sajda krne wala pehla mrd tha❤ that scene makes me cry everytime, nd that true salar ka dua mangne ka tarika Maine bhi apni zindagi me ikhtiyar kr liya hai! I can write more nd more about him 😤imama kya tum janti ho 9 sal me kitne din kitne maheene kitne din kitne ghante hote hai 😩😩

I am very glad to see this comment because everyone says we want salar as a partner but no one wants to be imama Hashim no one wants to be pure , dedicated, patience like imama as she was dedicated for her religion she was patience in her life living at someone house .if u want salar be imama .

Umera Ahmad is a gem. I've always been a fan of her writing ever since I watched ZGH followed by Alif, two of her greatest pieces of work. Peer-e-Kamil is no exception...it took me where I had never been. It taught me what I had never understood, it made me learn the things I had never paid heed to...Made me cry my heart out, made me smile from grin to grin, made me burst into joy at one point with that "Imama iss waqt mere ghar par hai". Certainly one of the best novels I've ever and I'll have ever come across. Peer-e-kamil: the perfect mentor PBUH, completely justifies its name and how!!

I first read Peer e kamil from my elder sisters collection. Now why this? Because I've grown up in ladies dominated household "kalla munda" and yes they won't shutup about this novel discussing it for hours finally I got bored and wanted to read that whatss the fuss about salar. You need to have a perspective while going into it. reading it with your own relatedness or emotions attached is what will make this novel beautiful. I was a kid in olevels didn't understand it and left it. Then I agained read it alevels going into University just out of curiosity that I've left that unread and iam no nerd lol. Well it was beautiful, tremendous yes yes I skimmed some of the mbbs lamenting of umama in the start with her friends but was careful to not skim enough. I cried first time when Salars father went to his school and saw his name. He had tears in his eyes and i had tears in mine. Maybe because I lost my father in olevels. Then the character of that Dr whom umaima wanted to marry has grown unto me. And I re read at times. Both Salars and umamas, dreams I reread again of Umrah and sitting together. Then what I like to read in my times of distress is when Umama visited that Dr Jalal with a proposal questiong her self after seeing all his batch mates as successful , thinking about her future and what will be her life. Safe to say I love this novel I can write 10000 words more hahaha Thankyou for the review.
