Only people coming from broken homes and families can understand the different layers of atrocities captured so accurately in this story and the excruciating pain as a consequence. Hatts off to Mahira Khan for choosing a sensitive and intricate subject like this, she knows she can make a difference in the society and she did! This is how children become both victims and perpetrators of generational abuse. It can only stop with a person in position of power within the family or with someone making the right move at the right time. Manipulation of the older generations with their young is the most toxic fabric of our society. By the time we realise we are either too old or too dead.

Healing your pain through the assertion of your worth and forgiving those who have hurt you is valid too. But it’s important to also mention that everyone else wanted to fix the situation too, and were open to forgiveness and changing themselves. Had the other characters like her Mami, and Aswad specifically hadn’t changed and realised what they did to Mehreen she wouldn’t have been able to make this decision so lightly to forgive and forget. Definitely a unified effort from all rather than just one sided by Mehreen. She’s not forgiving and forgetting without seeing change in front of her (which is expected in our society that you forgive everything and continue to tolerate until the day you die which is something Qurat Naqvi underneath your comment is implying with aaj ki aurat) - in this drama all the other characters are also realising their ways, accepting their mistakes and asking for forgiveness from her but MOST OF ALL are rectifying their behaviour and changing it, which is the most important part of it. That’s the *key* difference. A good message in the end that things can be resolved even after such bad abuse and torture they did to her by self reflection, asking for her forgiveness and making the effort to change. She has a big heart, but they also have a bit of a heart to realise they did wrong whereas people are not that willing to admit their wrongs these days and then to correct themselves and ask for someone’s forgiveness with the intention to never commit that evil again against them, not many have the ability to do that, hence things are never resolved… Take it like a drama because things are never fixed in the ways a drama show, it’s a fairytale ending where everyone all of a sudden changes and realised they’ve been doing wrong, not a realistic ending where a human has too much of a ego to even realise they’re doing wrong.

I won't fully agree with mahira's acting in this drama because it was at some places a bit too much than needed. As long as story is concerned plot was well knitted no flaws with dialogues and even with the plot. Mahira being the lead in this drama was a mistake. Character could have been played by a much younger actor only then it could have been relatable. Overall drama was great apart From what have been aired by some channels.

After a long time a drama has ended in 22 episodes only, just like Pakistani dramas in past. Over all a very thoughtful and thought provoking play. Touching some real serious issues faced during upbringing of children and impact of elders's behavior on mental health of children even after becoming adults. My most favourite bit of this drama was when Mehreen was hospitalized and the psychologist gave a piece of mind to Aswad, which must be considered by all the couples. A job well done by entire team. 👏

This was my first serial of Mahira Khan and her acting made me love this drama… despite a good ending it has left me depressed.. Mashal was a sweet heart but her mother made her a dwarf …like the line at the start of the drama… two dwarfs ( Mashal and Mehreen) and a joker ( Aswand) brilliant story ..this drama will always remain one of my favs❤️❤️

Truly realistic based and I have tears in my eyes in each episode.. our society didn't understand it's not good to compare our children's fate with someone else. This comparison is a kind of fire in which everyone burn and nothing left behind. Our society need this kind of dramas and lessons instead of the mystery, divorce, crime, love affairs and all other kind of stuff where they're only promoting western culture, completely away from Islam and it's practices..

Drama sent a true/real message to ALL parents - each and every child is a gift from GOD and as with each gift there are differences and you cherish and love each gift and their difference w/o comparison. Hum ke dramey achchay hotay hain. But the background music most of the times is irritating. It does not allow us to hear the dialogues properly. Ask your music team to keep in background only ' not at the time of dialogues.

Just came to rewind this gem of a drama after watching an interview with Kubra Khan 🖤🌺🤍 No one can match this worldwide ! For me, if TV is an empire them Pakistanis are the emperors. The scene between Mashal and Mehreen is probably the longest, taughest, deepest and most intricate of Pakistani TV. Mahira and Kubra literally shoot for more than 15 minutes and gave all those outstanding emotions. And yaar what a direction by the great Farooq Rind ! Main dekhti nhi hun aise drame.. main jeeti hun characters ko 🤍 Kubra Khan and Mahira Khan are just two queens 👑 and the whole cast is aptly chosen. Speechless.. here I am, crying and laughing with them once again.. future se.. 2 saal baad. Thank you HUM Tv
