Right on, good to see you back. Figured since it was summer you were busy with the family and needed a break. This has come a long way from the tear down to now, can’t wait to see the finish.

Glad to see a new post. I was thinking about your build when looking at mine. You might want to check hood clearances with your coolers, especially the intercooler. I had to put mine on the low end of the stack to fit. I am also considering using B&M cables and brackets for the shifters instead of rod links for the transmission and transfer case.

Looking awesome 😎 I personally plan to repurpose the original humvee engine oil cooler/ transmission oil cooler and use it as the Allison transmission cooler / power steering cooler. Then position a long fuel cooler above that with the a/c condenser. I will be running dual fuel tanks so an Allison cooler in the rear would not work for me. You did a great job on the cage! Looks like a small step but has a huge impact! Have fun!

Love it. haven't thought much on how to stack all that stuff up without tig welding, but now I think I'll do it like you've done it. BTW- what'd you do for driveshafts? I have a 2017 LT/GM 8L90 32 spline output in the rear and whatever the T case is. I think I may have to just get the output shafts that fit and then take a measurement to a fab shop.

That’s awesome! I got the front driveshaft to fit up using the front part of the humvee Drive shaft, and also using the stock Duramax slip joint into the transfer case section of the driveshaft. Join the two with a new U joint. Getting that you enjoy it to fit was the hard part

You have part numbers or a link for your 2 black coolers?
@terrafusiontx2 жыл бұрын
I love it man! Organizing those coolers looks awesome! at some point, i think i'm teaching myself welding on my build. Not sure i'm going to get through my rebuild without it. Are you planning an AC on top of all that? What harbor freight welder are you using?
@SplitBuilds2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I’m going to do the AC condenser on top. I just have the cheap Chicago welder from Harbor freight it’s like $120

Doing a similar humvee project with the body on. Learning to weld has been essential for some of the parts I needed

Any Concerns that the hood won’t close with those coolers on top?
