I'm super intrigued by that last style used in the swivel knife. But I made my own push beveler a couple years ago, out of an old screw driver. Just looped the top off, proceeded to hear it and beat it till it was flat in one side and curved as close to my favorite bevel stamp on the other...bent it so it felt like it would be stable, on a comfortable angle, easy to control, and offset it a little so I could see where the end was at and where we are going without my big ol paw in the way. Works good. Had to reshape it a couple times to get it to my liking, but I'd be confident in making claim that it works about as well as any store bought unit. ... Probably should have used an old wooden handled screwdriver tho... It looks a little odd with the big ribbed plastic handle in it next to my other tools.. but I guess that's not really what matters. I recommend anyone who's contemplating hunting one down go ahead n just make their own. At least to get an idea for whether you'll use a real one. I use mine more than I thought I would.... if I didn't forget about it I'd use it even more. Lol!

Thank you for the great video! I bought an entire box full of leather tools just yesterday and I happen to get one of the white push bezelers that you described. I've barely had a chance to look through the tools but I didn't imagine that that tool was worth much. Imagine my surprise when I saw your video! Now I'm so excited to give it a try!

Thanks for sharing Johan. I purchased some old tools that came with one of those bevelers. Now I know what to do with it.

I believe your favorite beveler is made of nylon. We use it in Machine tool for wear points, because of its ability to slide

Now that was one nice beveling job- the last tool was a far better than the others. I wonder why they stop making tools that actually work?

My guess would be that the last one is made of Teflon or some kind of polyethylene ... I made a handheld one (a primitive one, though) from a piece of camel bone and it also works like a charm.
