RIP xx We hear so many stories about lack of equipment, helicopters etc! All i know is they are strong heathy young men and they are being let down,no matter what i really do believe our government are weak!!their weakness is costing lives! This is not the first time we've been in Afganistan, the Russian's were beaten aswell. This war needs to end and i'm sorry if i offend but i want our boy's home ,in one piece and with a pulse!!! A British housewife x

@bgbroc The majority of the people in Ulster WANT to remain part of the UK. This is the wish of Irish people. The good thing is that they are trying to live side-by-side with each other. Your blind prejudice sadly hinders that. I did 14 years as a civilian medic and pulled enough nails out of people to see the senselessness of the hatred. You must respect the wish of the majority and protect the rights of the minority. That is how democracy works til the majority decides to change the situation

The press and TV heard and turned up. It seemd odd, having them here, but when I watched the most recent repatriation I realised that, thanks to the media's presence, the whole of Great Britain can now stand alongside the townsfolk of Wootton Bassett and pause for a moment to remember our fallen. The arguments for and against the conflict go on - even in Wootton Bassett - but we are united in our respect and admiration for those who go to fight on our behalf.

The Fallen Where their boots tread, they'll hear not a sound. When their heads resteth, we'll wear not a frown. Where their memory lingers, our love will be found. When their pictures are fading, in history be they bound. Where their peace he restorath, we'll hear not a sound.

This event began with a group of 'old boys' from the town's British Legion branch. They saw a flag-draped coffin driving through town amongst the traffic and paused to salute. They asked to be informed when it next occurred so they could do so again, and others who saw them asked why they were waiting and, when told, waited with them. Just a few townsfolk, and soon a few hundred; still with no TV or press coverage. Then the armed forces came and paraded down our high street in appreciation.

Fojihq but for ignorant fools everyone knows how imortant the likes of Sikh's, Gurka's, South Sea Islanders, and those from the likes of the West Indies have bravely fought for our armed forces. It was not that long ago a couple of Gurkas were killed and quite rightly we all mourned for them as well.

Those brave soldiers would be turning in their graves if they could see the way Britain is being invaded now with 400 hotels and day care centres up and down the country full of illegal immigrants and costing us all over £6 Million every single day!!....In fact,The Wiltshire Retirement Home in Wootton Bassett is now full of them too!!!

@smokeymcgreenston My mind is my own, its not for rent to any false god or corrupt goverment, whether you think your fighting for your country or not, congress will benefit from your patriotic beliefs and your be dancing to their tune, you are a pawn my friend, a mere pawn in a global game.

@smokeymcgreenston How many smokeymcgreenston's are there? I get the feeling im conversing with another person, how bizzare! So the U.S. ( goverment ) had no part in the 9/11 event, you (both) sound very patriotic, thats fine, just remember with such strong patriotism you leave yourself open to manipulation.

@griffinboio Oh im much more then just a freeloader...And if by "keep it to yourself" you mean keep commenting & causing pain/stress for those who have lost loved ones...if you mean go ahead and make it clear that there are people that they supposedly "died for" who hate them, then yes I will do that. No problem. Thanx.

@txl301md I'm sorry, please keep your inane thoughts to yourself. I appreciate that respect comes hard for some, but silence is easy. If you knew even the slightest part of Afghanistan's history you'd see how ridiculous your comments have been.
