Hi Scott, Actually the whole hand form is about breathing and body conditioning. In the beginner level people will do it without the iron rings but when people are a bit more advance, they will put more and more rings on their arm to increase the difficulty.

This is new to me. I never know Hung Gar have a Kim Yeung Ma stance like in Wing Chun. Or maybe it;s just something similar. Another great and awesome video, Sifu Leo. It was really amazing to see you with the iron ring as well.

I highly suggest using ear plugs or some other adequate hearing protection when using the iron rings or during any loud weapon sparring. I have hearing damage and have learned the many things that cause it. Take my advice please. Thanks.

indeed the Lau Family lineage goes from strength to strength. I was just training with Master Mark Houghton from Hong Kong last weekend. He is the direct student of Lau Kar Leung.
