I always look forward to seeing your videos. There are plenty of instructional videos out there on the web, many are great in their own right. You, however, are tops as an educator. The time you take to point out the nuance of the job you’re doing at the moment sets you apart in my opinion. God bless, brother.

Ran into the same scenario last fall. With a 22 dbh Sugar Maple about 65 ish feet tall. I should've just climbed it. Couple quick prayers, throw line, rigging line and a couple full body tugs with a redirect and I'm blessed it came down and everything went well.

Agreed. We all get into a hurry at times and think cutting from the ground will be faster, but it doesn't always pan out. I just did a job a few weeks ago that I knew better on. Needless to say, because I didn't just spend an hour climbing, and instead cut the trees from the ground, I turned the cleanup into triple the time since everything was strewn out across 120 feet when I could have kept everything near the bases of the trees.

Who cares if it took longer, still better than putting on gear in the rain. It's always the "easy ones" that get us lol. Sometimes you can get lucky and roll those stuck trees through with a peavey while they are still leaning.

Mate you were very calm or did you edit out all the swearing 😂. You almost know it’s going to get stuck but as you say it’s wet it’s cold, please fall through the gap.

I always wondered how to get a limb tied tree that is hung up, down with the stump jump technique..Thank you, SOLO!!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🪵🪓🌲🪓🪵🪵🪓🌲🌲🌲🪓

No problem. If you want the tree to slide backwards to create less of an angle so it does not straighten up as you take more chunks, you can always tie a line to the bottom of it and have someone pull as you make your cuts. You could also use a come along to put tension on the base as you make the cuts to keep it from straightening up if you are by yourself. There are various other tricks than what are shown in this video. I'll see if I can make another video explaining them if I run into another hung up tree.

That would bee awesome if you ever come across another hung up tree and show us the come along trick. @@SOLOTREESERVICE
