Why hadn't I seen this video before? I think it's the best video of a volcanic eruption I've ever seen in my life... You can really get the size of a VEI 6 eruption in high quality, the last such powerful event was only in 1883 with Krakatoa... Amazing, Amazing, Amazing
@laxman.mshettigar77382 жыл бұрын
This was VEI 5 event. VEI 6 eruptions like Pinatubo , Krakatao etc were way bigger than this and had effects on climate This is bigger than Helen's eruption though

@WesleyLuginbyhl2 жыл бұрын
Most drones don't capture audio. It would just be a buzzing sound of the motors. If the the video was saved locally on a phone/tablet, sometimes the phone's microphone is used and records the audio near the phone/tablet.

Two things the climate modelers never include: volcanoes and the sun.
@KentonBenfield Жыл бұрын
You actually unironically believe that? You actually think literal geniuses whose whole scientific career is to study climate at global scale just somehow oddly forget to think about the blindingly obvious sun? This is actually how your brain maps out the world; you actually think this makes any kind of sense?
@myownspiritlevel Жыл бұрын
@@KentonBenfield Actually, it is actually true that actual computer models actually omit many actual variables because the actual atmosphere is actually way too complex so the computer programmers actually just make actual guesses on a lot of actual inputs, and adjust the inputs until they get the answer they actually want....literally.
@KentonBenfield Жыл бұрын
@@myownspiritlevel You said they never include the sun in modeling, that's ludicrously stupid and false. A specific, scoped study might omit certain factors in certain circumstances, in ways that are sensible and transparently reflected in the published and peer reviewed paper, but your disingenuous insinuation that they are so incompetent as to not even think about such a massive and fundamental input to the system they study for their entire professional careers is enough to make me write you off as hopelessly useless on this subject. To anyone else reading this user's comment: safely disregard, they are drunk on anti-science stupidity.

Would have been worth watching more than 63 seconds if would have placed minimum information periodically describing what or why certain things were happening...from air pressure changes, wind directions, speed, air particulate matter, etc...OR anything other than the horrid music someone shockingly decided to insert into this historical event...One thing for an amateur to do that but for professional organization believe anyone could endure being subjected to that noise for ~5min needs to be retrained... My intent is to be constructive not personal at all...and with music or sounds perhaps it is just me...Either way. I barely lasted more than 1 minute & was too distracted to consider much of anything....Of course, I placed on mute and rewatched but as a Professional Geological Organization posting content ...posting your historic content for the world to see... should have had basic, periodic descriptions & I suggest...although months later...to edit out the music...I realize mute will do the same but it is the principle to me...again, I could be wrong...
