As a Hungarian, this was really interesting to watch. I am glad they enjoyed goulash, or as we say, gulyás. I also liked that they pronounced Tokaji well.

Yesss, to this food you can drink white wine or beer. The Tokaji Aszu wine is dessert wine. People drink it after meal , or only to enjoy.😀

Hungarian food is very tasty, we use lots of spices and make things from scratch,if possible we grow our own veggies.

1. "Tokai" (Hungarian and real name is TOKAJI, we pronounce it as you do, so if you ask it in TESCO, ALDI or AUCHAN, just say it, as you usually do) is a dessert wine, so it is so delicious WITH desserts or INSTEAD OF desserts... in the Hungarian local market should be less than (the expensive, 10 years old 5 puttony) 60 000 WON. The 6 puttony (not the crazy price, but the REALLY good one) should be less than 120 000 WON (2023. July.) Under 5 puttony THAT IS NOT REAL ASZÚ! (Only the 5 and 6 puttony is real Tokaji what are you looking for!) 2. "Gulyas" is traditionally a kind of shepherd's meal, so there are two kinds: Gulyas is like stew, a real meal, dense food to fill you up... so after that, we don't eat secondary, because it is like a meal after a meal... too hard 😵‍💫 The "Gulyas leves" isn't a whole meal, it is just a soup, so should be THINNER. After that, you can in main or secondary dish. Here in Hungary, you can eat (soup) with bread, it is very nice 😍and also use your hand, we are not French... 🤣 3. Gulyas or Gulas is a red food because of the paprika. We drink a nice and dry red wine with it. For chicken or fish, we drink a glass of easy white wine, like Chardonnay, or my favourite Muscat Ottonel or an Italian prosecco. (Usually, if you buy wine for yourself, it should be less than 12 000 WON, but if you ask in a restaurant it is dependent, but use 4 times the prices, so 48.000 WON for the same bottle) The colourful dress lady was right, the BEER is WAY MUCH BETTER for that meal! 🤩🍺

1) They only said the place's name, while the "i" in the end of "Tokaji" marks that it's from that place. So grammar-wise it should be fine. 2) "and also use your hand, we are not French." That's just very uncultured to eat with bare hands especially in a restaurant, maybe in your house at a village it could be okay, but otherwise just use the fork and knife. And i say this as a Hungarian.

why i havent seen this episode before? Yeah we pretty much fried any kind of foods, like mushroom, chicken, pork, cheese and even cucumber its really tasty tough. Im happy that they liked our really famouse goulash soup. It was a honor from big stars like Boa and Soeun to visit this small beautiful country.

They should drink red wine to this dish. Egri Bikavér is a good choice. Tokaji is sweet, so it is better with desserts.
