I didn't expect the video to start such debates on Facebook, and I never thought conducting the interview in Hungarian would be a problem for some people. At the end of the day, we all have different opinions and views on many topics and I think we should respect each other in that. Zsuszi has explained a lot of valid points about the video, and I think I'll elaborate a bit further. The video is not targeting foreigners at all. It is more like a chitchat with Hungarian university female students on what they generally think about dating foreigners because I believe the topic is interesting. The demographic was intentional because I think people in their twenties going to universities date more often than later on in life when they get a job and so on. Call it a prejudice or whatever, it is what I think and what I deemed to be relevant and there's that. Practically, it is for everyone. Hungarian guys at my work were also interested in the topic and found what the girls said hilarious. Some Hungarian girls also found it shallow/cringe. So it did target those besides the foreigners that some people claim are being targeted since it elicited a reaction in everyone (be it positive or negative). Also please understand that it's not an invitation to foreigners to date Hungarian girls. So there's no need to conduct it in English. They don't have to show that they're viable dating options and speak in English. The best example for this is that a few of the girls interviewed speak fluent English and are not into foreigners. So there's that spectrum which I think this video showed. But hey, if you find the topic shallow, good for you. If you don't like the video, also good for you. If you like it, I'm really glad you appreciate it. I'm also really happy people are discussing it :D Leaving comments with your arguments is a nice thing to do, and if it contains any implicit or explicit disrespect to the content or the people involved in it, it'd be removed when I see it. Leave that toxicity out of this. Lucky for some of you I can't remove/block you on Facebook because I'm not the group admin. The video is not claiming that Hungarian girls are into foreigners neither does it say they are not. The video is a casual street interview with a few random girls that we encountered on a Wednesday afternoon. They are obviously not a sample representative of the millions of Hungarian girls and ladies. The video is for entertainment purposes. We are not making any statement or serious assumptions on what Hungarian girls prefer dating. So thank you for both the constructive and destructive arguments. I disagree with a lot of stuff some of you said (you have every right to do the same), and I agree with a lot too. Future interviews will still be conducted in the interviewees' mother languages, even if s/he were an Eskimo citizen residing in the Maldives. They'd still speak in Eskimoan (if that's even a language) or whatever language they feel more comfortable in and I'll still translate it to English. Thank you all again and wish you a good day!

i found this vary insightful thankyou so much! there were varied answers and not every girls likes the same language or nationality, the editing wasn’t skewed to portray a certain idea. i really respect the mixed answers. it gave me a greater idea of what they really think. i have a hungarian co-worker recently we’ve been getting to know each other more, she moved here to the us when she was 18, she’s now 29. recently we went to the club and we danced and had such an amazing time. she invited me over to her place, we drank, and we talked. i think it’s cool. i’ve been doing some looking into Hungarian culture, history and general ideology. i find it fascinating that it’s so close to western culture since 2003.

I used to be a foreigner and had great time hanging around with Hungarian girls. They are kind and open-minded. In my homeland Turkey girls are pretty mean. Not open to meet in public, they might even insult you (actually if you are not handsome it is guaranteed) just because you think they are attractive and you wanted to meet and have good time with them. Violence against women rates are not low here, so it is kinda excusable but still even the nicest guys have hard time. Hungarians are way more relax. Amazingly beautiful and know how to enjoy life.

I've had some bad experience with foreign guys but some others were nice. I thinks it's the same everywhere. Whether someone can be a good partner for you doesn't necessarily depend on where they come from. That's why it is important to not fall in love with someone because you want to be in love, but to give yourself enough time to get to know that person well, and in this case their culture too before you judge them or commit to them fully.

Women stare at me when I'm in Budapest, I'm flattered but many Hungarian's have these straight, empty faces, and they don't seem welcoming. Great video, especially for foreign males 😉. Sadly, too few of such in KZbin. As a foreigner must say, that Hungarian girls are one of the most beautiful. They have amazing body, hair and face. Only problem is language. Hungarians are afraid to embarrass themselves by talking in English, even though they have decent level. And you're close to other cultures, somehow afraid. As girls in video mentioned, it's good for short term relationship, for sex only. Marriage will be difficult due to big cultural difference, especially if man from outside of EU and different race and religion. In the future, it would be nice to ask girls opinion on specific nations. You can make a list of top 10 nations among international students.
