well in the book it was the purpose. he was contributing to the rebellion he was apart of it all. cinna had a book of designs for katniss for when district 13 would rescue her. they held her designers hostage and effie actually was never even in the last book. thirteen had people in the districts for the rebellion. you should definitely read the books for more insight on the movies. their always better than the movies.

i think it’s the reason there isn’t a stable or typical parent/child relationship shown. peeta’s mum literally said to him that she thought katniss MIGHT come home but not him before his first games which just shows she’s not exactly heartbroken, she’s not mourning the loss of a son just a roommate, just a friend 🤷‍♀️

Agree. And also ironic are the career tributes. They are shown as the bad guys, but are actually doing a good thing. Imagine if you are a parent in one of the districts, you know that if your child is chosen, then instead of them going to fairly certain death, that someone will volunteer who has trained and has at least a chance of winning.

i think that's kinda.... wrong? like one of the small, but very important details is how katniss love music and singing but denies it to her as it reminds her to much of her father. And before he died when shhe first went to school Peeta first fell in love with her when she sang and all the birds stopped their singing and listened. I feel like it would be much better if the echo of birds was offset from her singing.

I’ve read and several times. I’ve watched one movies multiple times. Catching Fire is the best movie. They calmed down the violence to keep the PG13 rating in all the movies. Seeing and hearing President Snow gives you a whole feeling to the storyline.
