Saif TheRoad59 I thought it was pretty stupid for Chris to join Umbrella since he was dedicated to the BSAA. Especially after the ending of RE6. It makes Piers sacrifice seem useless, considering that Piers wanted him to stay with the BSAA. RE7 didn’t even have a connection to any of the RE games. We got mold monsters that weren’t even scary, a paranormal girl that tries to act like Alma from the FEAR trilogy, and a half baked story with unlikable characters. The only thing that was going for it was the survival horror that was stamped on it. But hey, horror over story I guess.

Sophie Jones Hunk's mission was to retrieve G, not survive. He didn't have the tools to defeat Birkin and faked his death in some continuities while in others he was knocked out. I like to think it's the former because it would make Hunk look lucky as fuck if he was only knocked out. Either way, he did not fail in his mission and even brought down 2 Mr. X's single handedly.

A few things I noticed: 1) Hunk was with Alpha Team(the same team you repeatedly hear on the radio in RE7). 2)Hunk's attire & the attire of his teammates(looks similar to those who rescue you at the end of RE7). 3)All of the extraction missions in an attempt to retrieve the virus. These things lead me to believe that "Redfield" is actually Hunk at the end of RE7 & the Umbrella Corps helicopter also leads me to believe this as well. It looks as if Hunk & the Umbrella Corps team raided the Baker's home in an attempt to extract that virus. Hunk used the name, "Redfield" as a code name & to throw Ethan off so Ethan would trust him. Chris Redfield may definitely appear in the DLC, but, you'll find out he's NOT the character you'll be playing with.

Arturo Rosales I never though that guy on RE7 was ever Chris Redfield to begin with, there were too many things that didn't make sense with that, especially when Chris looks like his normal self in other games & even in Vendetta. I wasn't buying Capcom's "confirmation" either nor their excuse with the new technology. In fact, I believe the suspense around this "Redfield" character is the only thing that's keeping the anticipation of the Not A Hero DLC alive, so I wouldn't expect Capcom to come & kill that suspense because it would ruin the anticipation of the game, you know what I mean?

The mask may look slightly different, but, Umbrella Corps was an extraction team, just like this group apparently was on RE7. Chris Redfield looks the same on the upcoming Marvel game & on the Vendetta movie. I could go on & on, but, you get what I'm saying, right? Lol. Considering the suspense around this character is the ONLY thing keeping people talking about this DLC, I have a rough time seeing Capcom killing that suspense, it would kill any anticipation the game may have. We'll see though. Lol. I love debating about theories.
