Did Hunstanton ever have a special or second appliance with regards to the second appliance bay? I notice Reepham and Aylsham are similar.

tigger1662003 Hunstanton never had 2 pumps but did have a temporary water carrier during the summer of 1996 when it was really busy. The second bay has often been used to house spare appliances including a TL but currently houses a gym.

When I was a retained firefighter we turned out much quicker than this station what was the hold up gee

Never met a retained Ff yet that didn't claim they were always faster. You may well have been lucky enough to have all your crew living or working next to or very near to the station. On this call it was obviously within the working day and Hunstanton is a busy seaside holiday resort often with heavy traffic which all affects turnout times, plus these guys may have work premises to secure before making way to their transport. Give that a thought before bragging how fast your were. In any case they were mobile within stipulated times and you cannot ask any more than that.
