Thats cause rodan and godzilla jr are brothers. Explanation: so 2 prehistoric eggs got digged up in the godzilla vs mechagodzilla 2 movie, not the show era but the heisei era and the first one of those eggs to hatch was rodan and he got a lot of radiation due to him probably running around and interacting with a radiated facility i think which caused him to grow big in size aswell as grow wings and a beak and his colors turned red giving him the appearence of a giant red pteranadon. But for jr it's really simple he just hatched in a lab where he didin't get radiated until he met his dad, so technically jr is an uncle🤯

Both Rodan and Godzilla Jr. were exposed to radiation, which is why they came to life in the eggs. The fact that they were in the same nest is considered in the film the theory of a foundling egg. Fun fact: godzilla jr and rodan hatched from the same eggs so that means they are considred siblings, however rodan got radiated and probably grew wings and turned red,causing him to appear as a giant red pteranadon but on jr's case he hatched in a lab but got no radiation before he met his dad aka heisei goji

Only this information is false. They hatched from different eggs in the same nest. The film put forward the theory that Godzillasaurs could be like parasites, laying eggs in other people's nests. Godzilla Jr. was exposed to radiation in the same way as Rodan, while still in the egg, and this revived him. that's why when he hatched he had more traits from Godzilla than from Godzillasaurus
