Kathrine "Kitty" Pryde aka Shadowcat has been my favorite character in comics since 1984 when I picked up my first X-Men comic at the tender age of 7 years old.

She's a great character. I remember the first time I ever saw her back when I was a kid was in the Pryde of the X-Men animated short that the old arcade game was based off of. Back then I never could have imagined how far she'd come. She's a proper X-Men leader.

I like the Fantastic Four, but on in spurts, depending on who's writing them. The Jonathan Hickman run is probably the last time I really enjoyed them, but they're a completely different dynamic than X-Men. X-Men has a focus on family, too but there's a good reason that back in the day the X-Men were more likely to crossover with the Teen Titans.

Truth, truth, and more truth. I like Kitty as leader. She's come a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way since I was a kid reading comics back in the 80's, and I feel like Beast and Nightcrawler rarely get the respect they deserve. Hell, I think quite a few X-Men wind up with squat to do whenever the writing is slacking... they just double down on Wolverine. Or make Cyclops a psychopathic terrorist.

Eh, that I can't cosign on. He's nothing like Tony Stark lol. He's not egotistical. He's kind. He's not a science wiz. He's a battlefield tactician and sound leader. He's not going to win popularity contest because he's an authority figure. He's not a rebel without a cause or a Han Solo type. Which is nice. You can't have a team of Han Solo's.... it just doesn't work...Unless you're Cowboy Bebop lol. I personally like him. He stayed true to the dream, even more so than Charles Xavier, and he did something neither Magneto or Xavier could do -- he united Mutant kind. Even Magneto had to admit that.

Maybe. There's a lot going on with Wolverine right now. Its almost difficult to know where he's at right now. The wolverine running around in Infinity Wars and Infinity Countdown and Mighty Thor seemed to be classic Wolverine to me. The one right now, possibly a clone, but I think this book is a little behind whats going on in Infinity Wars.

I only really keep up with certain ones. Depends on the writing team. Bendis' run on Uncanny and Grant Morrion's New X-Men are probably some of the best in recent years. At the moment, it seems things "might" be back on track but I'll wait until Uncanny relaunches before I make any assumptions. I will say I do enjoy X-Men Gold.

Its kind of all over the place. Some of it is pre-Hunt for Wolverine. But some of it is post-Hunt for Wolverine. Like the part when he goes to visit Jane Foster is pre-Hunt for Wolverine. The infinity stone stuff is kind of in the middle, kind of not. I try not to think much about it, lest my head start to hurt from frustration 😂😂😂😂😂

Bro, I saw your review when it dropped but didnt respond until I read the book today. I agree the whole thing could've been in one book. I think Iron Man and Daredevil were good guest but there appearance could've been handled better. Hot claws is stupid! The villain being a black women is very cool. What's with old boy arranging bodies and dying? Weird. Not sure if I like Kitty leading the X-Men. Overall not too bad.

I'd have even been fine with all of the 4 titles just being one shots. I don't think the guy with the bodies was alive to begin with. Persephone seems to have reanimation tech. Thats about the gist of what Claws of a Killer really was about. I'm fine with Kitty leading the team, though. She's been around damn near as long as any other member, other than the original 5. She's more powerful than most mutants, too. She's did a great job leading the Guardians of the Galaxy. And after the issues with Cyclops, Emma, and even Beast championing the mutant cause... Mutants need a level head in the game right now lol
