1st. LoL. Hopefully it's Threnody, I love the 90s characters. Now that "the mutant embargo" has been lifted, Marvel should bring more of them back. Maggott is one of the characters I'd like to see his powers in full effect. And Logan's "killed" Jean enough times for his claws to have absorbed at least a sliver of the Phoenix Force by now.

I just hope they keep the scope of mutants limited. They did go a bit wild west in the 90s and thats what caused the "embargo" in the first place. But I do agree bringing back some of the 90's characters does give a bit of nostalgia.

+Richard Jones Not really. The issue was Marvel didn't kill off the characters in ways that would impact individual stories. And the whole "mutant embargo" had more to do w/ Marvel not having the X-movie rights, so they tried to sabotage the horrible "FoX-men" movies by killing off mutants & not creating anymore. Marvel kept publishing the X-men because they're one of their "cash cows"--especially in the 90s. That's why Marvel had so many mutants die off panel, because they were just keeping the OG money making mutants. It's also probably the reason why Storm & T'Challa sudden "divorced".

They're diluting the character to a point where fan-fiction might be more interesting. Don't like the idea of the heated claws. As crazy as it is Wolverine and his powers were far more grounded than some of the insane beings we see. Given him heated claws just seems a bit wacky, it makes me wonder why his flesh doesn't constantly burn. I don't mean wacky in its power more its randomness I think I've watched too many mcu movies. They obviously had to dial down on things because it would take way too long to add in the hundreds of characters some of the comic plots have. However them doing their own stories made whatever they did seem a bit more grounded and less wacky (like when you have a series where suddenly all the good guys are bad and vice versa) It's been about a good year or two since I've read the comics so I think I've arrived when some of the stranger plots have unfolded. I don't know why but I find the cosmic ghost rider series really interesting but it comes accross very much like an alternative universe story so maybe that's why I like it

Theory: How wolverines has burning red hot claws.. Like when Logan became weapon x, his mind has been completely wiped and rearranged but this time by Persephone. She literally has put all of wolverines memories and different versions of his past self, all neatly compartmentalized in his mind. All those mutants in those cages could be called alters. She is now wolverines handler like William Stryker used to be. I believe Persephone has the ability to control wolverine and his alters at any time via her powers and/or technology/mind chips.Perhaps this has not been seen yet. The only instance I could think of that may show this, although i am uncertain, is if you read Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends, theres a bunch of young dead mutants, unknown who killed them, i would say wolverine dis it to further show Persephones power to the xmen, as we know wolverine would never do this, if it indeed was him, he was controlled by her to commit those acts. This also shows how Persephone can control people, considering how she controlled the unnamed man in the white suit who introduced the xmen to Persephone and the moment she ended her transmission the white suit man died. Now his red hot claws. I believe because he has all those wolverines in cages, they are much more concentrated and have great potential, like highly bottled up emotions. From what we can see, The one that causes these red hot claws is the mind raging wolverine in the cage, the one saying let me out. I believe his claws get red hot because all the rage and boiling anger and since it is flowing through his adamantium body creating tons of energy and very rapidly, his claws burn up. It’s all connected to that raging cage wolverine, that is now fully released by mind wolverine himself when he faced iceman. Which leads me to believe regular wolverine is going to have a hard time coming back to normal whilst raging wolverine is free. If it wasn’t for Persephone bringing back wolverine to life and messing with his mind, he probably wouldn’t have those burning red hot claws. This is going to be a fun comic series, thats for sure, I’d like to hear everyones thoughts!
