Hunt Strategy Breakdown | I almost got RAN OVER
About 10 days after taking my first buck on my new property, I decided to go out and talk about the hunt, specifically the access and the stand location. I discuss how I walked in, the wind direction, and even the buck's trail as he was coming in. In mid interview, I was interrupted by a hot doe and multiple bucks, resulting in a wild face to face encounter!

Truly awesome! I had a similar thing happened to me once. I climbed down out of my tree one evening. It was overcast and very dark. I took about 3 steps from my tree, then all of a sudden the woods came alive! Two bucks chasing a doe! One of the bucks circled and ran about 3 feet from me! I felt the wind off him when he came by! I bet I had that same look on my face that you did. Keep doing what you’re doing! We all are enjoying the content. Thanks

Hey Jared! Love your videos man. Been watching ya a couple years now. Just an interesting tidbit for thought. I noticed a large tree with a huge crown in the background behind you. I noticed it first in the video when you killed the buck. Over several years of hunting and just being in the woods. I ve noticed trees like that ,just seem to be a magnet to deer and other wildlife. Sometimes, just as a loafing spot. Would be interested to see if you notice any activity in the future of deer just hanging around it. Kinda the water cooler of the woods. May sound weird, but if I see a tree like that in a new woods I'm shed hunting. I always check it out and usually come up with something. Thanks for your time.

Awesome breakdown Jared! I really like the idea of a recap and how things worked. Especially with aerials and wind. Funny you mention the poison ivy, I was down in Missouri a month ago. Prepped a tree on a Wednesday, killed a nice buck from it Thursday, and came home with what I called poison oak. Miserable, took 2 weeks on prednisone to clear up.

Great video. These are the videos I like, ones like this that show how you access etc. I’m always worried I push it a little to far, so much so that I put myself out of the action I think. For instance when you walk that timber edge in I would be worried there could be deer bedded inside that edge of the timber or that as you go along the creek you could bump something along the creek. Interesting with those peninsulas that you feel safe blowing guy me scent into them, I would be worried maybe a bucks bedding in one. Thank you for showing this, makes me feel better about some of my approaches
