Hey bro nice vid. I know that area well but stopped hunting up there about 6 years ago because it just gets hammered by hunters. What you said at the end about waiting another month is right for that area, but like I said there are a lot less deer up there then there used to be. Great to see another solo sambar hunter. Good luck on your next hunt.

I reckon you're right mate, I think the density is low not only cos it gets hammered by hunters but judging from a few entries in some of the hut books it gets spotlighted pretty heavily too. Thanks for the kind words and good luck to you too 👍

Yes, I know for a fact that Parks cull all the high plains now, 2 culls a year with guys using thermal shit, really annoying. I used to love hunting that area.

Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed watching it. Shame they are not up high yet. I'll be back south in about 3 weeks chasing sambar. Hopefully with some more snow melt and sunshine the fresh growth kicks in. Goodluck on your next trip.

Another month would have been better the deer don’t really like the cold and will only venture into it if they have to

Great video mate pity parks cull dear in these areas when will the government wake up to the rich resource hunting is millions of dollars are spent by hunters ps the deer looked like a cast stag might be wrong
@HuntandFish5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's sad to see. Definitely is a cast stag, wasn't until I studied the footage at home on the big screen I noticed his little nubbins. Thanks for watching 👍
