Hi Chris. New sub from Texas in the States. just found this video and the views are amazing. Kind of reminds me of the Chihuahuan Desert here. Love the fat bike too ! Cheers, Tony

Thank you. Feels so much more like exploring on tracks like thoes. There's not many tracks you can take your bike on that go through up there.

The track over Mt Fainter looks sensational, Mt Feathertop spectacular as always and that fat bike is killing those tracks! Great video Chris.

Thank you. Yes it was a spectacular track rough as. Still sorting the fat bike out. Just finished 3 days in murray sunset N.P.

Amazing video on exploration taking the fat bike all the way to the top. Me and Sylvia have talked about traveling to your country for a bicycle tour. Going across South America soon I am currently building my own panniers got a new custom design they should have no rattle noises if things go right. Hope my video is done this week. Thanks again for sharing the beautiful mountains that looks like it can run over everything!!

Thanks for the nice words & all the information about your travel plans. South America would be amazing to cycle. .Australia is big and vast with lots of isolated places to explore at the right time of the year. Carring water is the main concern in Australia when you go remote.

Beautiful footage. I was always amazed with the rugged terrain you covered with the Koga now you’ve expanded opportunities. Congratulations.
@ChrisRishworth5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes the Koga was out of control lots of the time when I was riding steep down hills. I feel a lot more in control with this bike. Flinders ranges south & north tour starts tomorrow for two weeks. Heading there now.

great videos. at 73, I'm just getting started with a fat bike. inspired by your trips, mate. haven't yet found any of them where you describe your bike/gear. esp interested in your handlebar setup.
@ChrisRishworth5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes I haven't had the bike setup complete to do a review yet. In the next 2 months I will have. Then go full time on the bike. Then there will be lots of reviews & videos. The handle bar setup is touring bars with a twist shift & xtr brakes this gives me a high riding position. I get a sore back if I bend over to much. Cheers Chris.

“Go for it” 😆 so close mate! 💦 Love the video and I’m so glad I have found your channel! Can you mountain bike the Razorback trail? Like legally? And have you mountain biked from Hotham down to Harrietville? You seem to be the right man to ask haha Thanks mate!
@ChrisRishworth3 жыл бұрын
Simple answer No. I wish it, would could make for the best Mountain bike trail in Australia. Would be really hard in its current state. I'm sure if it was allowed it could be smoothed out in places to make the most epic Mountain bike trail in Australia. Would be great for tourism etc. Very unlikely ever. 😒🚲

Thank you Chris for taking us along. My rump feels sore just watching you. How's the fat bike holding up so far?
@ChrisRishworth5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The Fat bike is good still trying to sort out the packrack swaying issue. And the speed wobbles when under load on sealed roads. Camped near the Murray river now after riding through murray sunset N.P. yesterrday & today. Make another video of this in a few days when I get back.

Why not just add a stand?
@ChrisRishworth5 жыл бұрын
I used have a two stands on the koga. Front rack and the back of the bike. Because stands are at the base of the bike. The bike under load has the tendency to topable over. This solution works well.
@sipapito5 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisRishworth I did not think of that, I usually have only two Ortlieb bags on my rear rack so my does not fall bit all that weight you have on yours make sense, thanks for the reply, Chris .
