Awesome review thanks a million I bought the hunter touring boots they were gorgeous but when I tried them on it was extremely difficult to remove the boot obviously telling me I needed a wider calf boot. I just sent it back and ordered the original tall wide leg boot and I’m hoping to god it is going to fit!

I have the same sized calves as you, and no one has explained the fit as well as you have in this video! I only wish i had seen this video before I bought mine, cos I think my Tour boots are a tad tight, even though they're the same foot size as the kids boots I am upgrading from!

Great video. For people like me who have a thick calf and do not know whether or not they fit in a boot, the measurements you gave were like paradise for me. I loved that you were so detailed. Wow, very thorough! Buying Hunter is a lot trickier than I thought! I had to return 3 pairs myself. The only ones I can wear are the refined versions because I’m petite and have a small frame. 😢

Is the wide calf boot the adjustable boot, the accommodates a wider calf? Because on the website the buckle is in the back. Can you link the one you tried on in wide calf? Great review!

You are talking about the wide and narrow leg. I seriously want to know about the feet fitting as I can fit only E or EE wider feet size fitting so what do you suggest for the wider feet people inside the boots?

Thanks! EU size is 39, UK size 6. No, they are not tight on my feet, they are roomy in the ankle and footbed. For me, these do stay on in deep mud. This is specifically because my calves are substantial enough to hold the boots on snuggly. I imagine these would feel sloppy and loose on someone with slender calves. Hope this helps. I need help! Got original tall for Christmas, I wear a size 7 but I wanted a size 61/2 but they don’t have it. 7 is too wide leg and I can’t walk in them they move ! What do you suggest ? I’ll return them but I need a smaller fit. Think I should get a 6?

I've noticed that most fit reviews for Hunter boots tell you to size down, so no promises, but if 7 is too big, then a 6 might do the trick. No half sizes in Hunter boots.

How do you get buckle to lay fat

Hi Stacy - I don't know how to get the buckles to lay flat. My buckles sit around 1/2" off the face of the boot. Hunter made these buckles to really bite hard on the straps so they don't slip. The length of the clasp under the buckle is what makes the buckle stand so far out from the boot. Thanks for watching!
