Great video, but as a Norwegian J can’t stop laughing at the “snow”. By Norwegian standards that’s like nothing compared to what actual snow and winter looks like here where it can get so deep it covers cars from top to bottom.

Why didn't you just pre cut a string at the length you wanted and a solid stake. Instead of a nail and a tube and a chain and a tape measure and clamps....

I’m going to use a few garden hoses to lay out my s curves. But the use of chain and cord is brilliant! Depending on your “s” you could use two pipes but it may look like opposite “c”’s if you don’t get the right angle in the middle

A major con is that despite making a lot of effort to be "British" looking, these boots are now made in china, and whilst fine for fashion purposes they are not a very good outdoor boot. These boots used to be worn by farmers and outdoors people, but the chinese ones are made badly, and in heavy use do not last long. Aigle and Le Chameau cost a bit more but they are still made in france, and last for a few years even with everyday use, in poor conditions.

Whatever percentage of slope you want, you multiple that percentage to the run of 216 inches In your case you want 2.3% Formula is 216inches x 2.3% = 4.96 inches. Find the difference (subtraction) 11 inches minus 4.96 inches = 6.1 inches Use that difference to bring low point up 6.1 inches or use that difference to bring the high point down 6.1 inches Either one will get you to 2.3%

Hunter wellies have been made in China since 2008. Quality / durability not very good - regular wear can kill a pair in about 12 - 18 months. Not good if you depend on them for work. Rapid and premature wear on soles and heels, plus stress cracks on instep, vamp and ankles - all telltale signs of incorrect rubber formulation. Too much filler and not enough latex in the rubber mix means rubber too rigid and unable to flex properly. Not fit for purpose, plus way way overpriced. As others have suggested, Aigle and Le Chameau make much better wellies which will last - these are the ones you can wear all day, every day.

Thank you for your tips. I have watched every video on KZbin and you are the only one that gets this granular with your thoughts and tips. I really appreciate the level of detail that you put into your work. I am not sure why there aren't any comments yet. But I know you have helped countless people with this video.

x/216" x 100 = 2% Divide both sides by 100: x/216" = .02 Multiply both sides by 216/1: x = 4.32 4.32 is essentially 4 and 1/3 inches, which is just north of 4 5/16"

u should always lay ur entire pattern out first inside the ur sitting wall then lay out ur first course of ur firepit ontop of the pavers in the center and trace around the firepit course then cut the center of ur patio out then u will never have to guess if ur pavers will line up on the other side of the fire pit. But I do think ur design and effort in building it urself is really good as sumone who does this work for a living it's not as easy as sum think it is and after all ur hard work it can be frustrating running into problems when ur that deep into ur project but I still think u guys did a good job good luck
