Hunter College Neighborhood Walk Tour Upper East Side NYC - Lexington Ave from E 72nd to E 66 Street

I attended Hunter for two years. The neighborhood around the campus is really nice. Then again, it's the "yupper" east side. Being from Brooklyn, I REALLY felt more affinity for the Village/E. Village, Soho, Tirbeca, Lower East Side and the downtown Manhattan areas in general. The "yupper" east and west sides of Manhattan are VERY similar, EXCEPT the east side has the better museums -- The Met, The Gugg, The Frick, The Jewish Museum, The former Whitney (before it moved downtown to Gansevoort St.) & the Cooper Hewitt are ALL on the upper east side. MOMA & The Natural History (two of my all-time FAVORITE NYC museums) are on the upper west side.

what are you talking about? the met and the guggenheim are on the east side. the whitney is downtown.

@@katiebear716 I stand corrected, I meant to say the upper east side, and mistakenly said upper west. The Whitney used to be on Madison @ E. 75th I believe before it moved down to Gansevoort St. in 2015 I think because that was the last time I was there. I haven't lived in New York since 2004, have been out in California in the Bay Area, so I haven't been back to visit in several years.

Great video. This area is so gorgeous. I hope that the Janovic building on 66th is redeveloped. It does not fit in with this pristine neighborhood.
