I still remember quite vividly how hard NYC got hit by covid. A lot of people there didn't take it seriously and 100s of people were dying by the day. It was horrifying. Then as the weeks and months went by, people really became used to being inside all the time and that kind of lifestyle has become much more normal for a lot of people. Socializing was basically stopped in its tracks for a whole year. I still remember feeling such a bad vibe when covid was at its worst. It felt like there was a good chance we would never return to our old lives after that. I'm sure a lot of people felt the same way. It really altered the day to day routine for many people and it'll probably take quite some time before things go back to the way they were before covid. Also, it's not really all covid's fault, of course the internet and social media and handheld technology plays a major part in it all.

I LOVE my (I said mine bc I currently know no other place as home) City!!! 🥰😍😘🗽🤩 As dirty and as critter infested as it may be at times. Being born and raised here I fully understand and appreciate that’s really not ALWAYS the case. There is some beauty along with it. And besides you HAVE to have the “bad” to truly appreciate the “good”. I’m honestly not looking for a debate here 😅 just adding in my 2 cents 😅 About the comment: You are sooo most definitely right but being that I am female and introverted, I find it currently much more relaxing and safe to enjoy this city in the very early hours and NEVER alone.

Hello. I'm from Germany and I find it really interesting to experience a city like New York at night. But I also find it shocking how many homeless people sleep sitting on the street at night and how many other strange people are out and about. But it's no different here in Hamburg at night. New York is of course much bigger and busier. Thank you for these interesting insights into the city.
