Hunter Hayes Tour Vlog

This video is my album of cherished memories from one incredible month with the extended Hunter Hayes family. The Hayniacs are the sweetest and most devoted fandom that I've ever experienced. It was so humbling to look out into the audience at each show and to always recognize several familiar faces from the tour. Despite the grueling tour schedule of 22 shows plus a television appearance, the fan energy always sustained me to help me give it my all every night.
There are so many special moments in this video. First, coming together at rehearsal and quickly developing deep bonds with every member of the band and crew. We then crossed the country from one ocean to another, picking up special memories at each show. I felt honored to have a hand in setting the stage for a beautiful wedding proposal in Harrisburgh, PA. Congratulations and best wishes to the special couple!
Home town shows are always special and coming into the NJ/NYC area was a treat. Although I live in Los Angeles, I was proud to "let out my Jersey".
May 22nd is a day that I will never forget. The day started with a midnight bus ride to Rockefeller Center for a 3am set up at NBC's Today Show. We barely took a breath before setting up for a magical sold-out show at the Gramercy Theater that evening. With just a little bit of coffee and a lot of fan energy, I was able to sustain my first professional "all nighter".
There were so many special people who came to visit the shows, friends and family AND my beloved kindergarten teacher who drove 200 miles to see me in Pittsburgh. Thank you to all of you!
Emotions are always high at the end of a tour and we all wanted to do something special to celebrate Hunter. We conspired with the lovely Abby Anderson to briefly take over Hunter's show. At the end of my scheduled solo, I started playing, "If I Ain't Got You". Abby came out to thank Hunter and wound up leading the most heartfelt singalong that I've ever experienced. It was fun to see Hunter sit down on stage and have the audience sing to HIM.
I hope you enjoy this personal perspective of the tour. I can't wait to get out with Hunter and crew again.
