I've been listening to "Friend" on repeat! Here are some of my thoughts: - I love Hunter's singing (obv), both when he's singing softly and when he's belting out the high notes ❤️ - the strings sound so beautiful 🎻 and I wonder if Hunter arranged them himself or if someone else did - I think it's interesting that there's hardly any percussion; it's very restrained and I admire that! - when he used the word "lonely" as a noun rather than an adjective, it reminded me of the song "Trouble With Love" when he sang, "The trouble with lonely is it sleeps right there beside you" The video is beautiful as well!!! 😍
