Industry standard depends on the lawn, southern lawns are usually mowed shorter and 2" are fine. For northern grasses such as fescues which tend to be cut taller, 6" are appropriate.

I bought some male-threaded Hunter MP rotators (for the toro bodies) and some of them actually say Walla Walla rather than Hunter. I've only recently got to use the Hunter PRS heads for the first time. I installed 3 of the PRS30s with 4ft nozzles on a tiny lawn. In the past I've used the Rain Bird 1800SAM-PRS mostly for sprays and I like both. Typically I don't use these pressure regulators due to the extra cost unless it's vital to a repair. I do install a lot of 1804s and 1806s with the Hunter MPs.

Can you reduce how far the water is thrown out? Say for the side of the house instead of buying a different attachment rated for less distance?

Mp are for low pressure defeating the purpose also sprinklers are designed to work together mixing a bunch of different ones isn’t the best idea yes it will work but to get the most out of the system keep them the same per station cheers

have you tested the springs on the hunter and rainbird spray bodies to see witch 1 is really stronger and if ind is 4 in sprinkler y do you have 2 inch in your yard and if you like hunter so much y do you have orbit

Also at 16:50 when you untwisted the cap: Huge difference between Rain Bird and Hunter spray bodies. The Rain Bird caps will leak if they are even the slightest bit loose.

"Walla Walla" refers to Walla Walla, WA, the home of Nelson Irrigation -- the company that origianlly patented, and still manufactures the MPR for Hunter. Nelson Irrigation is a global company...most definitely not bought out by Hunter.

Just a radius of an MP rotator for example do you know how that the MP 2000 360 has red you need to hold the red then udjust the mp rotator

That was a REALLY good video! You have become one of my favorite sprinkler video people. BTW Walla Walla was bought out by Hunter because Hunter really liked their MP Rotator. BTW, How can I find out where I have a local Hunter sprinkler dealership?
