Loved that point out on the different types of masquerades. On my read, I only caught this theme of “actors, troupe” within Bono and Chrollo’s monologue (also clean up rangers) but not Morena and Mr. Risnorth (so that was nice). Looking forward to next week.

I thought that the cards were representing hisoka’s current and eventual kill count for the phantom troupe. The rules of the poker game he is playing specify that it is all or nothing, you can win big or go bust. Kind of like a fight to the death. The two aces of spades represent kortopi and shalnark who he has already killed. Spades usually represent death and are sometimes swords in older card decks. The three of spades would be chrollo. Its the same suit as shalnark and kortopi and chrollo is hisoka’s current target. The two three of hearts would be illumi and kalluto zoldyck because they’re brothers. The three of clubs and diamonds would be two other troupe members but I have no clue who they could be. Although I think bonolenov, shizuku, and machi are the most at risk at the moment. We don’t see if he gets another card or goes bust, so I guess he could kill more. But I wouldn’t expect him to go bust facing phinks nobunaga and feitan after he kills chrollo. Its probably not true though, just a fun theory on potential foreshadowing.

It's a bit hard to tell, admittedly. I think Chrollo said it because it suits more with his character feeling on the fringes of society.

@@goomyknight7385considering that bubble is shaped the same as the other one opposite of chrollo, that has the “lol” makes it clear to me it’s another audience comment, since he’s walking past the crowd. But fair, we won’t know 100% unless it’s animated.

Good point, I think it's a mix of both. Maybe how he defines 'balance' is different from the others... for example, perhaps 'balance' in his mind is the system being upended and reset?

Bono is sooo weak, his 'Trump Card' (that he totally needs if you are anything stronger than random normal average Human) was calculcated to be less than 110 Kilotons. Killua ripping-off a certain Chimera Ant's Head is WAY more impressive than 'Jupiter', let alone that 'random Spear' So this chapter really downscaled Lynch and those the whole Mafia

sorry to burst your bubble... but the fights in hxh isnt about whose ability is more impressive or flashier because its all about the kill.. if you knew less of what a person is capable of then you can be in a real danger and thats what happened to meruem and pitou despite their godly status and impressive feats.. You just downplayed the spiders as a whole because they weren't respected and feared to some extent for no reason and the mafia isnt really the best out there do you remember how they clowned the 12 best nen fighters of each mafia don of the underground world..

Remember Morel's words... it's very difficult to determine how strong chars are in this universe. For all we know his abilities could have other effects // he intentionally used less nen when fighting a weaker opponent to conserve his energy.

@@goomyknight7385 I get u, buuut i cant help but wonder about this. If the difference was in the same 'class' each, it wouldnt be so confusing, but no, wha Bono couldnt overpower a nameless Ant-Sodlier in but did so for Lynch was both combat-power. I still find it weird, i cant help it!
