1999 dark/nostalgic (rewatched about 10 times until 2011 came out) 2011 more colorful/semi-nostalgic (since I've already rewatched this version 10 times in past 10 years lol) I really need to rewatch the 99 version again! Been wayyy too long like not since 2005 😢 But it's kinda a bummer it doesn't continue to chimera-ant-arc.

Uh some of those characters did not came out in the 1999 version but rather the 2003/2004 OVA sagas which I will admit was a different newer style I think early Digital Concept, even though I still digged Killua's design and Hisoka's the 2011 ugh...shouldn't of never happened...if anything the 2011 should of just been either a movie or a finally series...what the hell were they thinking.

I think both artstyles have their merit (im talking about how their drawn not how the animes were produced) but the 2011 characters specifically the non rough ones have a more cutesy look to them but the 1999 one has a rough look to it i prefer 1999 but for someone like ponzu i prefer 2011

Na época de produção o arco não tinha sido finalizado, devido aos atrasos na publicação do mangá semanal o anime de 99' foi atrasando com fillers, mas não foi o bastante. O máximo que fizeram foram OVA's do Greed Island

In fact, due to the fact that the author is in a bad state and they always watched the anime, the manga was on hiatus for several years and still is for the health of the mangaka. Even the hxh ovas came out after several years and you can see the change in the animation and that it has more shine
