My favorite part 0:32-0:56 , when Hisoka basically made the same meal as Killua and Killua's dish was completely rejected. So Hisoka just leaves, sits on the ground by the side of the river, with his dish behind him, and is just freaking sulking. XD I can just imagine his thoughts. "Why is life so hard? All I wanted to do was to get my Hunter's license, but no! I could just kill everyone but then I'd have to do this again next year. Why couldn't the challenge be kill everyone and the last person who stands wins?! I'm good at killing people... *sulks some more* dang life is hard." LOL

+Josh Sinclair I think someone in the anime explains that as long as the hunters see your potential and think your strength is worth it they'll let you come back as many times as you want. The hunter x hunter world is pretty messed up since murderers and serial killers could enter the exam and if they pass could still get the hunter license. Which means they don't care about your background or how criminally wanted you are in the world, just if you're strong in both body and mind.

It's kind of a shame we can't combine the best parts of both series into one. Some of the fights are just objectively better in the original (Gon vs Hanzo, and a lot of Greed Island) but some of the humour is also just damn great. There is a bit of filler that can be trimmed here and there. 2011 was a bit more streamlined in that regard and the training montages are pretty good in that one. Hard to say which is actually best as a full package... I still prefer the originals somewhat but I still binge watch 2011 now and then, too.
