Im just glad its not an arena fighter. If you dummies dont want to buy it and instead clown the way it looks, then we are only ever going to get arena fighters going forward. The game is very TvC coded, which makes sense since its Eighting and imo TvC was underrated also, Power Rangers BFTG only had 9 characters at launch, so while the 16 isnt a lot its still as much as Skull Girls and more than Power Rangers

Gameplay looks sick, graphics remind me of the old Xbox Naruto games (which I personally like), and it looks like it plays similar to MvC which is always a good thing. I hope 8ing gets the support they need to continue working on this game and that other teams start using the 2d fighter formula because getting an OPM or jjk 2d fighter would be really sick. The dash animations and sound design are a bit wonky at the moment but I trust they'll improve on those things before release! I think people are also forgetting how awkward project L looked during its first showcase, you can't expect perfection during a play test.

Quit taking it as a salty post when you should be looking at it as its ok if theres less characters as long as game is fun and game is appropriately priced

@@UhDewSea I didn't assume you were dunking on Power Rangers. Read my post again. I'm telling you their circumstances ARE NOT THE SAME. I love BFTG one of my favorite games of all time. But you would be foolish to think their situations are even comparable. 1 8-ing is NOT THAT SMALL you can actually see this. They are well regarded in the fighting games space. This ain't 2005 no more they are far bigger than you actually think. 2. Power rangers are actually small and the devs have been clear the game's budget is extremely poor. That's valid because they tried and are truly underdogs. The success was shown because of that. especially they kept adding more to the game and not letting it die. The quality of the game is better. So keep in mind my post is just saying making comparisons like that are bad and when you actually research and know the context of the games you compare to shows the imbalance. That's all. But I agree with you TO AN EXTENT by your end comment. If this game is 20 bucks like Power Rangers then I'll be content. If it's 30 that's an issue. If 40 the game is dead. 8-ing makes fun games. I am a HUGE FAN of their work. This is why I'm upset about the same effort I've seen in games BACK IN 2005 LOOK BETTER is an issue I can't ignore. I hope you understand my frustration now.

battle for the grid was given a budget of 3 paper clips and some pocket lint and still became incredibly fun after some time. I’m excited for this. Looking forwards to what they do next.

again the circumstances are NOT the same for either game. it took a WHILE before it popped off. the dev team was small and full of mvc fans. despite its bad release the community it made kept supporting it. THIS IS A BIGGER Company and well known for fighting games. Them doing this as it is. Is really bad

"Looks mid as hell" is super fair. I've seen people say it's giving mobile game. Apparently 8ing's working with a tiny budget so I think it's forgiveable all things considered. I like the speed. I've wanted a fast, combo-heavy game for a while now since Dragon Ball isn't being supported anymore. My only gripe is no motions. I'm not the type to say accessible this, scrubby that, especially when DBFZ is my favorite fg. I just like at least doing QCs. My hope before was that it took the GBVS route and both classic and modern were baked into the control scheme. More options for different tastes always feels good. Overall feeling optimistic! Reaaally hope this scratches my itch to press lots of buttons, fly around the screen, and do flashy stuff on my opponent.

# of characters is definitely budget issues - Power Rangers had the same problem, the initial budget they were given was tiny. I actually think it was less than 16 for a 3v3 game. Curious how much of this game's DNA will be from marvel 3 and how much will be TvC. Dnf duel had a lot of elements from TvC so I wonder what balance they'll strike.

The problem isn't that the graphics are "bad", yes gameplay matters more. But this honestly looks like a high end PSP or PS2 game. It doesn't even look like it belongs on last gen consoles (let alone this one). This isn't an indie game, or a new random IP, not a great impression. Not to mention it will most likely be at full retail price with DLC. Hopefully, this is only a very early showing, and it will improve.

And if the indie game can make an amazing game on a small budget with a small roster, then the same should be more than possible here.

Game looks rooouugghhh. Animation looks basic and the game just lacks style. Supers also look bland for the most part especially that level 3 by Gon. The game needs to be delayed for as long as possible to give it the polish it deserves. Anything less than that will cause this game to fade into obscurity quickly

Honestly I hate how this looks for the game. This to me looks like its dead on arrival and I love HXH and I expected SO MUCH MORE. Especially from 8-ing who made good games Even on a Small Budget. They made Naruto Class Of Ninja BACK ON THE GAME CUBE And THAT Had more effort and work put in. Gameplay in Fighting games will always be Number 1 Priority BUT Number 2 is Visuals and overall quality. The moves feel stupid weak. Moves Lack Impact and they look Janky. If you watched HXH and see Adult Gon do is Iconic Punch That Had IMPACT. Why in this Fighting game That move is like a fart in the wind? The Last Punch was over and done with. The kick at the start had more screen time then the actual BIG ENDER lol. All the hits leading up to that also lacked Impact. For a game with IMPACT in the title the fact everything Lacks that tells you a lot. No Joke Tyrant. Look at their Older games and every Hit EVERY SOUND Has IMPACT They held weight. If you know Naruto Look Up Rock Lee's Primary Lotus or Hidden Lotus in Class of Ninja 2. SEE those hits sparks and screen shake and sounds of every Kick Rock Lee did. Same with Tatsunoko vs Capcom Even the weak hits held some weight. Then the bigger hits progressively did the same. Even the Supers had that same level of quality. Its Really sad. People will compare this game to others who had short comings but IGNORE The context on why its like that. People will Mention Power Rangers BTFG...Made by a small team of passionate people who Love MVC. They didn't even have enough Budget to GET VOICE ACTORS... Then people will mention Skull Girls IGNORING THIS GAME WAS A INDIE GOGO FUNDED GAME... 8-Ing a Well Known Company who made Many fighting games that are successful. THIS COMEING FROM THIS IS DISGUSTING. Will its gameplay be fun? Most likely But so many other games will just be better to play and have more CONTENT To it and Nen Impact will die just like MVCI. Heck the same situation is being mirrored. MVCI Vs DBFZ. Nen IMPACT vs Project L. I am sorry if I am to harsh but I am being true with my words and Frankly I am disappointed This is what HXH gets.
