Remember, people are people, whether they are clients, bosses, or competitors. Not sure how you see Dave, but treat him as a friend, don’t get too caught up with “growth” that you see others a as stepping stones. Don’t wait to “hear from people” while never taking the time to say “hi” yourself.

yeah completely agree. I don't know how you are doing and how your relationship with Dave is going but if I was in your shoes I would probably want a guy like Dave as a friend. he just seams like someone who can motivate and help out if needed. so I would probably try to combine KZbin and going on jobs with Dave. ofcore I don't know the full details of if he doesn't let other film during rescues or other jobs. but you could try talking things out. and maybe do vlog type videos for your channel whilest doing jobs with Dave and the crew.

Wow, okay , you're good young man and Dave I'm sure knows that, reach out to him as well , he did it several times now and I'm sure we don't know all of the truths , but thanks for keeping it between you and him if it was negative , we should all work together and maybe once in a while you will find the time to go along and if you get to busy , he is to and Dave should understand that as well I'm sure, Dave is a good guy he probably sees himself in you a bit , I subscribed to your channel and will be watching it now and make up for the few I missed and I will give a like , hope that helps. Good luck, you have a following, so it will get out soon enough your on your own , hell I just saw this tonight for the first time so !

It also speaks volumes about you too hunter. If you weren't a stand up guy, hardworking and respectful, I'm sure Dave would have no problem cutting you off. Hunter it's so good to hear you're doing well! It's also good to see that Dave has reached out to you a few times, so it sounds like he probably understands how your fledging and trying to leave his "nest" so you can make it out on your own. I think that's awesome! Congrats on hitting 100k subs! That must have just happened in the last 24 hours.. in your video you mentioned you were close. I really appreciate your honesty and sharing what's going on. I like a lot of your videos, especially when you're talking to us when you're doing the builds. I cannot imagine how difficult it could be to talk to a camera, but I've noticed that when youtubers master that interaction that it really helps make it feel like we're there with you during every phase of the builds. It also builds a connection that draws us in to wanting to watch more. Keep up the great work, and success will keep building!

Been watching Dave for years and the TV show as well love the content but the people in the videos is what make the content interesting not just the recoveries etc.You are one of those people that made the videos interesting to watch so you having your own channel is great keep the content coming thanks

Although it really sucks not seeing you on his channel anymore as you were my favorite person on it, I’m pumped your taking the opportunity to build yourself and not someone else. You’ve got the creativity, talent, and drive it takes you’ll do great.

There's no way I'm going to unsubscribe I watch this channel to see what you come up with granted I first saw you on Dave's channel and shows but I'll continue to watch you as long as you make content I love to see any young people go after their dreams and do whatever it takes to be successful and you have done all that you can to do that not many people will pack up and move across country to chase their dreams so keep it up

Congrats on staying true to your desires and goals. I can imagine it being addictive to get rolled into something like what Dave does and just going with it. The good stuff in life doesnt come easy and good on you for staying in the driving seat. Good luck on your new adventures, from random me in the southeast of the UK who makes video games for a living 😁👍🏻

Love your Story, my ears perked up when i was watching an episode of recovery, and Dave said this my guy from Florida, I live in Tampa and love cars , had to stop working to be a full time care giver to my wife, i have a little shop in my back yard and starting a channel called Gatorman Garage, we find and buy old trucks and Corvettes and restore them and flip them for the next project. Will be praying for your success, and will be supporting your channel, God Bless Your Florida Friend Voneric

Hey bro. That's cool. I worked for people who taught me how to do lots of things. And now I do my own thing. As long as you both stay friends. You are both really good people. You guys are all really good people. And I know you are definitely skilled enough and smart enough to make a wicked good channel it'll be pretty interesting. I can't wait to see how things finally work out. I know it's gonna be awesome. Thanks for sharing this story. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. God bless you brother.

Having mentorship sounds awesome. I'm a 50 year old dude who finds himself switching gears after decades in the construction trades. For some reason I'm into cars now. Maybe it was learning to weld last summer while building a bus into a home, but once I started messing with metal a new world opened up. Without change life gets predictable and boring.

I am finally getting in to working on my own cars at 37, I have always loved cars but never wrenched on them. I had been welding for over 10 years now but it took me getting a more mechanically oriented job to find the confidence to dive in to my own vehicles. Good stuff man, never stop learning!

Started working on cars at 15, welding at 20, started learning electrical/plumbing/carpentry as I finished my bus conversion too! It’s done, I’m 28. And I’m very much into house construction and land development now lol we’re backwards!
