Before my boyfriend and I started dating, he was learning French but I didn't know anything other than the basics (hello, goodbye, and thank you). Apparently half of the time he was talking in French around me, he was saying things like "I love you". One day I gave him a genuine compliment and he got very flustered and responded in French. On valentine's day this year, he got upset but not because of anything serious. I have really strict parents and even though I'm a legal adult, they still go through my mail. I sent him a fake rose with a note that read 'I'll love you till the flower dies :)'. Sent it by putting his address into Amazon so my parents couldn't see. Now, the reason he got upset was because he couldn't send me anything safely because my parents don't know about him (and never will). When I told him it was fine and that he didn't have to get me anything, his reaction was basically "😤 I'll take a raincheck on it then". And pretty much by that, he means the first chance he gets, he's going to make up for every birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's day that he's missed. He still has the flower wrapped around the top bunk bed frame and just stares at it whenever he falls asleep. I have so many stories with him, so lmk if you want more XD
